Issue with eorzean calender for 5th astral moon when creating/editing character?

When submitting a bug report, please use the below template and thoroughly fill out the necessary information.

Date & Time: 6:11 pm aest
Frequency: unsure ( it's to do with the eorzean calender when creating/editing character)
    World name: Bismark
    Character name: Anatolia Stylars
    Steps:
    1. After creating character go to name day section
    2. Go to fifth astral moon.
    3. If you go across the days (say 02, underneath the words 2nd sun of the 5th astral moon there's a little number in brackets that displays as 9/2, if you go to 05 then in brackets underneath the words 5th sun of the 5th astral moon it shows as 9/5)
    4. However if you go to 08 underneath where it displays the words 8th sun of the 5th astral moon in brackets it shows as 9/7 rather than 9/8)
    5. This continues for any other date in this month after the 8th. So if you go to the 27th underneath the words the 27th sun of the 5th astral moon in brackets it shows 9/26.
    6. The same issues also occurs on the 30. Under the words the 30th sun of the 5th astral moon in brackets it's 9/28.
    7. Then if you go to 31 under the 31st sun of the 5th astral moon in brackets it's 9/29 and for the 32 under 32nd sun of the 5th astral moon in brackets it's 9/30.

If this is not the right section let me know? Unsure as it's not really ingame it's before you log in?

It's not just the fifth moon, it's a weird decision they made with the entire calendar that your selection has to be translated back into the real-world date range for some reason.

I'm not really sure what the point of it is, unless you were supposed to get some kind of benefit on that day of the year. I think only the long form gets shown in-game.

The Eorzean calendar has more (or is it less? I forget which...) than 365 days. Naturally there will have to be some fudged dates to align it with Earth calendar.

Yes, but why does it need to be aligned with the Earth calendar?

If I make my character's birthday the 32nd sun of the first astral moon, and her in-game profile says "32nd sun of the first astral moon", why does the character creator have any need to translate it to "31 January"? Where is this useful?
