The suggestion is quite simple, to make Palace of the Dead and Heaven on High accessible to Blue Mage, with some restrictions.
Of course, Blue Mage within those deep dungeons would be quite OP and an easy way to get the titles or farm accursed hoards, so I'm proposing the following two restrictions:
But what would the point be of having Blue Mage able to access deep dungeons? Couple of aspects:
- Prohibit the use of any pomanders / magicite if a Blue Mage is in the party (including intuition, so while you can still pick up accursed hoards, you cannot seek them out directly)
- Disallow the acquisition of the solo achievements if going in as Blue Mage ("Lonely Explorer", "The Necromancer", "Lone Hero" titles)
- Disallow the acquisition of other achievements if a Blue Mage is in the party
- Prohibit taking in Blue Mage until you've cleared the respective deep dungeon's storyline
Thank you for your consideration.
- Reliable & consistent way for solo players to farm aetherpool & potsherds. For potsherds respectively, the only reliable way to farm them right now is to go in solo and limit your use of sustaining potions. This is very tedious for some runners (especially healers, since they need a lot of pots). Allowing Blue Mage access would make this not only faster, but also more fun.
- A different kind of challenge, where not your strategic usage of pomanders is important, but your strategic usage of Blue Mage abilities. Outside of the Masked Carnivale, such a challenge does not exist currently. But even within the Masked Carnivale, an optimal strategy is usually found and adopted by players. Due to deep dungeons' randomly generated nature however, such optimization is much harder if not impossible.
- Fun. Simply put, a lot of players enjoy the aspect of picking an OP job and mowing down everything in their path. Blue Mage in deep dungeon would allow them to do that, and compete for the high score on the Blue Mage leaderboards for deep dungeon.
