I am refering to STILL locking out 3/4 of the wards of ALL housing areas for guilds only. There are hundreds of guilds wanting housing but there are MILLIONS of private people who want housing. Take the restriction off of the first 18 wards already. I already own a house so I am not being selfish I just see this and massively unfair to the larger group of people who are looking for a housing. And now there will be hundreds of bids on every house for private housing and then look at the guild wards and you have maybe 5 bidders. Wake up and do the math this is wrong.

This is probably what they thought, but it will backfire. It pushes people into doing solo FCs, so it is a little damaging to the community.
Anyway, there's absolutely no way all FC houses will be filled, so give it a few months(until 6.2, maybe?) and the pool of private houses will grow a bit. Too bad it will still be far from enough.

Players are looking for a personal creative outlet but that requires a measure of control so they can express themselves. That control is absent when access is granted at someone else's whim and that person has the ability to override the player's personal choices, not to mention has given access to others also able to override the player's choice. That's why the demand for personal housing is so high - no one else can interfere.

It's been literally one lottery cycle. One buggy cycle that took up a month of their time trying to correct. Maybe give them half a minute to adjust ward restrictions.

I mean, it's never going to be enough to satisfy everyone wanting personals anyway. But damn this is incredibly impatient.

How about getting an apartment then? You'll have limits but it's your own space, costs fraction of what the house costs and you'll never lose it. Seen enough barely decorated houses to feel more than enough people doesn't really commit to the house as much as they claim they do/would.

I agree Jo. Ever been in someone's FC and watch some person with a hair across their *** clean it out and then bail??? I sure have hehe. No snatch n' grab is gonna happen on my watch anyway.

single housing is coming back to these wards, it is only good that they do not keep everything open to everyone, but just some for a start.

As others have pointed out, it's not that they can't do math, it's that they very clearly can do math but it's from too theoretical of a perspective.

If they know, for example, that they can only put 200 houses in the game at one point then:
A.) They allocate most of those houses to FCs such that each individual house can serve 10, 20, 30, 100, etc. players
B.) They allocate most of those houses to single players such that each individual house can serve 1 player

In scenario A, the 200 houses is intended to serve 2000, 4000, 6000, 20000, etc. players.
In scenario B, the 200 houses is intended to serve 200 players.

You don't have to like it but, mathematically speaking, it's easy to see why they opted for scenario A.

I would be happy if they just made bigger apartment rooms. Those are instanced anyway so there should be no issue of having not just a small room :I
