The next wards should be Private House dedicated

First- the Lottery is fine and I think it's great as it gives almost everyone an equal shot without having to deal with click bots- it still has it's issues though. Housing availability is still too limited.

-We don't know when the current FC dedicated wards will eventually be fixed & turned into private houses (unless there was some word on this I haven't seen)
-The current system encourages shell FC's (single person FC's to obtain FC house just to get a house)

So, I propose the NEXT addition of added wards be 1-18 Personal Houses. 19-24 for FC houses -
Currently: There are FC wards still open with plenty available plots, no bids or only a few.

Meanwhile, Private plots have 40-600 bids This is really frustrating and would not have been so bad if the wards were dedicated to more private houses

Is the intent to encourage players to get apartments/ Fc rooms instead?
Here's the thing: Housing plots offer better perks/ more decoration slots. That's why people want them. Apartments and FC rooms are VERY limited and offer no perks. (except some personal space)

Give the players transparency about this stuff- will there be instanced housing? We were told to lower our expectations about Island Sanctuaries and it's more than likely it will not include a house that you can customize or enter.

Will apartments ever be updated? They would need more item space and different layouts. (top floor/ attic - bottom floor/ basement) and the same perks as a house. Such as: a roommate/ tenant and a garden plot(s)
Make apartments and FC rooms as appealing as a house or introduce instanced housing with all of the same perks. (200-400 item slots/ garden plot and tenant/roommate)


That's my rant, sorry if it's one sided and if you disagree, that's fine- but this is what I want to see.

I wouldn't count on it. For whatever reason, Yoshi loves the neighborhood aspect despite these neighborhoods being absolute ghost towns. It's probably different on Japanese servers? Who knows, but he hasn't really shown interest in any sort of instanced housing, which is sad.

Neighborhoods are awesome when you live next to free companies that have dozen active members, as they tend to spend time near their house. Ghost towns are mainly caused by personal houses and shell FCs, because time is limited and what would be the point of visiting a place where nobody is waiting for you? Large downside of residential areas that there isn't much to do when the zone is empty. Events or something like Gold Saucer activities would help to improve that.

Don't expect any new housing wards until 7.0 at the earliest, probably much later. With new worlds and data centers coming up, they won't likely be looking to increase anything until populations stabilize.

Something we need to keep in mind when we're talking about plots with large numbers of entries is that a lot of those entries are from players who already own but want to relocate to a different plot.

They don't represent demand to buy, instead they represent demand for better options (still important but has to be addressed differently).

If SE wants to encourage players to get apartments/FC rooms, they need to be improving those features instead of doubling down on scant ward additions.

Are you talking about 10-20 players sharing the same instance, or 10-20 players each having their separate instanced house at the same location?

The first wouldn't work any better than FC houses because players want their own place to decorate as they want. The latter would work (it's something I and others have brought up several times over the last few years).

In Round 1, my odds of winning were 12.50%.

In Round 2, with slightly more than 12 hours to go, my odds of winning are now at 2.08%.

I'll be surprised if there's more than 2 medium houses available for personal bidding in round 3.

I'm lucky. I already have a small, even though I want to upgrade to a medium. I'm much more upset that one of my friends playing the game dropped his sub due to losing his bid in round 1.

Anyway, I agree with you! We need more transparency. I've been waiting for news on apartments for years and they haven't said a peep. Do they plan to expand on them at all? Do they even care? If I had 200 furniture slots for my apartment, or the ability to "save" furniture loadouts like glam plates (allowing me to customize the same apartment multiple times without losing my old decorative setups) then I'd shut up about housing immediately.
