    Hello,

Since this morning I'm trying to open the launcher only to it to close shortly afterwards and as I ran through the event logs I noticed it's giving me the following message:

I unistalled it, ran a CCleaner and installed it again to have the same problem. After a restart it runs once and try to download the game but as soon as it fails due some connection issue I cannot open it again unless I restart my computer.

Greetings and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

We would like to further assist with this issue. Please provide a system report from the game by going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.' Copy and paste the details of the selection to this post when replying back.

Greetings and thank you for the reply,

For a FINAL FANTASY XIV system report, unfortunately the only way is to pull it up through the launcher. When the game crashes, do you receive an error message? Additionally does this occur when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running?

Hey again! I went through the customer support and got some light to figure it out what was going on. The following will be the stuff that helped me fix my issue:
    1) review and allow ffxiv exes (both 64 and boot) in the firewall permissions so as on antivirus permissions.
    2) Make sure the some ports were open on my router/modem
