Also, the number in the top picture seems especially high but that's also partly because it is the most sought after location out of every plot in the game. If you go to the medium plots in Goblet, you can probably find houses with less than 20 bids.I agree somewhat, on the idea that lotto is inherently flawed and a poor way to address the issue long-term. However, I think the only reason it's this bad right now is because every individual player is stuck buying from 6 wards, while 18 FC wards are just sitting empty. When the system launched and Empyreum opened, the crowding was not this bad even on individual wards. If they'd opened every ward to individual purchases, they could have had a pretty healthy system for several cycles until things got to this point. Instead they did the dumbest thing possible and only really made 6 wards available, so we're seeing pic related on the second bidding cycle when this shouldn't have been an issue for a long time. Mediums in empyreum FC zones with 0 bids, while mediums in individual wards of pretty much any other housing area are exploding. Solo FCs built with this problem in mind are about 3 weeks old now, and soon they'll absorb the FC wards, effectively making the difference between an individual ward and an FC ward completely moot. Square continues to say nothing on this, while spending all of their time taking the game down for pvp issues.
The frustrating part is the system itself would've been fine for a while, but Square just made one braindead addition to it that ruined everything at the last minute. In the long term, the lottery system would have ended up like this. But we arrived here in one month because square sped it up by being stupid about individual ward allocations. Saying this as someone who's always just wanted instanced housing, for whatever it's worth. Lotto's not perfect, but it shouldn't have been this bad this soon.
What I find strange. Is now the whole server has the same chance for an individual house. It is 100% fair. It is horrible also, but everyone gets to share the same horribleness. And when they add new wards, we can all share in the horribleness all over again. It is the bad design that is shared by everyone, not just the fast net connection and the no lifer clickers or cheater bots. We all get to stand in the same pile equally.
I'll just want a small house for our FC since we are a real small all family FC.

that is an awfully nice way to phrase "if you look at the least sought out plots in the game you will find a few where you will have a slightly above 1/20 one time chance at a house bigger than a small"

Why don't you move to a less populated server?
I like how our MO is to just keep conceding to Square Enix that this is the best they can do and that they'll just forever add more wards; and they should never stop doing that and just make instanced housing instead (because they absolutely can.) It's very clear that people don't want smalls, they will never be happy with just smalls and for good reason; why should we just say "ok, well youre not entitled to a bigger house in this game you pay to play" shouldn't it be fun? Shouldnt you actually be able to work towards a goal? What I find strange. Is now the whole server has the same chance for an individual house. It is 100% fair. Why should we admit that its horrible and let that remain the standard? Does it being absolute garbage make you feel immersed? Maybe more people should be asking for instanced housing/homesteads lol

yeah, i'll give him the wrap. but foist, i gotta wrap this FISH.
Ye, its just a game
You can visit any world you want if you need a house so badly it ruining your game enjoyment.
Question: Is there a way to tell if a plot is available for individual players or an FC without having to click on the sign out front of the plot? Because all I keep running into are FC only buying plots.
