Greetings fellow Eorzean,
We apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with packet loss issues. Please provide the following information:
- Are you using a wired or wireless connection?
- Do you have any firewalls or anti-virus software installed on the machine if are using a Mac or Windows PC? If so, which ones do you have installed?
- Internet Service Provider
- Location/Region you are in (Not in game, your actual location)
- Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens?
- Does the issue only happen with one specific character or a certain time frame? Please clarify.
We look forward to your reply back.
Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
I'm also on a NA datacenter (Crystal) and is loosing connection regularly and frequently.
- Are you using a wired or wireless connection?
Wired, always wired, as over the air you are just dropping your Mbits so hard.
- Do you have any firewalls or anti-virus software installed on the machine if are using a Mac or Windows PC? If so, which ones do you have installed?
Windows Defender and the Firewall that comes along with it.
- Internet Service Provider
Parknet
- Location/Region you are in (Not in game, your actual location)
Denmark, Europe.
- Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens?
90002 happens. I then can just close that message and log in, wait for the game to log out the character and instantly put in in the queue before logging back in.
- Does the issue only happen with one specific character or a certain time frame? Please clarify.
It happens for all my characters. And I have it happen super early morning, afternoons and evenings. Most of the day, all days all week. Only time I had something being stable was Thursday and Friday the 19th and 20th of May. There was no issues at all.

1. Wired.
2. No antivirus; windows firewalll. Windows 10.
3. ISP: Movistar Telecomunicaciones Colombia.
4. Colombia, South America.
5. No specific error, actions not registering or going too slow, plus some actions dont sound properly because they " never connected":
6. I've checked it in duties, and happens in AR, Trials, Dungeons, etc. Noticeable specially in combat. Seems it happens more often in Crystal than Aether, as far as i saw. Character is Mika Zahard from Bryn.
Thanks in advance.

@Mika_Zahard
I live on the Southern East Coast and my routing looks identical to yours. Those NTT nodes that your connection is running through is 100% the problem that SE is refusing to do anything about.
ae-8.r20.dllstx14.us.bb.gin.ntt.net , ae-1.r21.dllstx14.us.bb.gin.ntt.net, ae-5.r24.snjsca04.us.bb.gin.ntt.net are the worst ones in my experience.
If you have a few extra bucks to spare, grab a VPN. I use mudfish. Select a node closest to Sacramento, California if you can to skip past most of those NTT nodes. Besides the servers themselves being garbage, this has fixed most of my disconnecting and has reduced my overall packet losses.
Noted, i was thinking about getting one, but not sure which one or where to route it to, but now i got extra info thanks to you, so im gonna check it out.@Mika_Zahard
