Have to admit, I've got Déjà vu on this one. We had the forum argument about seasons last year!
Have to admit, I've got Déjà vu on this one. We had the forum argument about seasons last year!i dont know in what world you live... but.. it isnt even summer or it JUST started depending on definition(meterlogical, or astronomical being 31st of may and 21st of june in the norther hemisphere respectivly)
patch 6.18 is planned for July as far as we know.... thats smag dab in the middle of summer regardless of definition
Most countrys also have Summer holidays for schools starting end of March to end of july and going between 6 weeks and over 3months(germany and the US as examples here(latest german schools start summer holiday is end of july(or 1st of august), going into mid to late september and earliest is end of may, going into late mid july ) which OBVIOUSLY will only impact people still going to school. which isnt to ignore tho.
Case and point "summer hasnt even really started yet if we go Astronomical.
at worst it will be implemented at halway trough summer, smack dab in the middle of summer vacation for a considerable number of school goers.

thanks for that laugh.Have to admit, I've got Déjà vu on this one. We had the forum argument about seasons last year!
people really need to remember the difference between meterological, and astronomical seassons.
Meterological cares about the weather(aka "meteorology"), so summer starts earlier. at the START of a month(makes it easier for calculations and averages etc)
Astrological only care about the Earths rotation around the sun, so it starts later, regardless of what day it is, at the Summer equinox(spring at Vernal equinox, fall at Autumnal equinox, and Winter at the Winter solstice)and seassons arent quite 3 months long as well(but slightly under and over by a few days each)
