Still waiting for SAM changes to be reverted

Title says it all. I can't be bothered to run content on any other job and now I just idle in Ul'dah or at my house all day and watch youtube. The only reason I'm still subbed is because I have friends here. I just really hope Squeenix listens to player feedback and does the right thing because I'm not sure how much patience I have left before I decide to unsub for good.

im in the same boat OP is. i found SAM so fun that i can hardly stomach the game at all since it's been neutered. I haven't even completed the patch storyline.

It's completely fair to not play the game if your favorite job was gimped since that is a massive part of the fun factor. I'm lucky that I had other DPS jobs I enjoy besides SAM otherwise I'd probably be in the same boat. He has no obligation to give the game his time or money if it doesn't earn it

Almost like the game is a product that a company put out to ask us to spend money for it, and if we are not happy with said product and the company's treatment of its paying subscribers, we can stop spending money for it.

I know, it's almost like this concept exists in real world that all these SE apologists seem to not live in!

exactly this.
i was a PLD main and SAM as my secondary job. (was fairly good at it)
then i grew bored of PLD in endwalker, just feels off so i went SAM but my current static didn't need an melee, so i switched to red mage and never looked back and glad i switched concidering this.
when i heard Yoshi say "kaiten will be removed" i yelled "WHAT?!" out loud (was i think 5 or 6 AM) just complete shock that they would get rid of something so iconic to SAM.
sure Kaiten was an OGCD you would press all the time, but that was what made it good to use.
it became an part of the rotation, it linked massive damage and your job resource together, it felt like you were working up to something.
now it just feels like 1-2-3, 1-4-5, 1-6, midare and tada, low crit damage?! what?!

I remember the feeling in shadowbringers (likely why i also fell out of love with PLD) where my Midare hit for 200k (an absurd number, but it was just cool to see that 200k hit)
same with PLD before the stat squish, my confiteor hit for 80k on an crit/DH and it felt really good, not it hits for 20k orso, just felt bad.
