Now that our great and wonderful Black Mage Overlords have taken their rightful throne please remember a few simple rules to allow them to utterly dominate.
1. Do not try and force the Black Mage with a CAST TIME to push the crystal, leave that to the melee peons.
2. Remember that cheese, especially swiss cheese still has holes in it.
3. Switch thy class to the FOTM of our great Overlords.
4. If you see NIN+BLM on the other side, just leave because that's just too brutal at the moment.
Do you even play bard at all? Bard was/is not fine.
It's damage increase don't do a lot. Maybe easier to finish other jobs as melee with the buffs of the 5/10%. The full 20% is where it shines if you can get that out. Damage increase from Blast arrow only last 10s.
Two of Bards skills only do okay damage 15y away. On the crystal or under 15y when you need to do to push, Bard is the weakest job. 3k now 4k from powerful shot and Pitch Perfect is 4k.
Oh, just don't get close some may say. But what if no one on the crystal or the enemy pushing and my team away off the point. Do I let the enemy push?
Oh but Bard is range. So is Mch, DnC, Blm, Smn. Many melee jobs have a close gap too. Bard support their team. As said. Unless you getting the full 20%. It does little.

The stealth is extremely likely to get broken by a source of damage that the server was behind on registering. It's literally WoW's "Vanish bug," straight up. You aren't going to remain hidden for any significant amount of time if you're jumping away while under attack, which is my point.

I respect they were willing to admit it outright and not try to dodge it. It's unmistakably, unambiguously overpowered, and would require impressive mental gymnastics to say anything else.
Also, you know? It's the first time we have seen press from them talking about their methodology for PvP design in a long, long time. I appreciate that. If they are sincere about receiving quality feedback, they need to meet us halfway. I would like for Yoshi-P or someone on the PvP team to communicate with us more frequently. Even if I didn't agree with their evaluations, it would improve my trust.
It is a good post that demonstrates they're at least looking at the right metrics. Doesn't always make for the right conclusions, as is obviously the case with the BLM overbuff, but I would be trying to track exactly the same stats in their position.https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...ac1af14c1e3107

Lowest usage rate and win rate…… so it really wasn't just my own experience.
I kinda understand why they buff BLM so hard as they did, but i also agree with the incoming nerf.
I will still be playing the job as always. It cannot get any worse than 6k hot-cold wet noodles.
In case you are wondering why I have a different name, E and R are not very far.
