    I personally find it a lot of fun and struggle to think of how you could add complexity to what we have now without entirely changing the feel of how it plays. And for what? There are some minor tweaks I'd make to the job, but making it more complex (whatever that would actually mean for it) certainly isn't one of them.

    I'm fine with that, as long as they add in the ability to shut off the AOE portion. There are circumstances where you don't want to AOE and get hate on other people's stuff. I'm thinking cases like Bozja where someone drags in a Tier V enemy into the FATE hoping people grab hate.

    Very true. I think this could be alleviated if, in a future expansion when they tweak jobs, they added a second enshroud that looks and operates (in a short time frame) than the first one.

    I'm not sure how the third hardest hit in the whole game "lacks oomph", though? It's 1100 relative potency under Death's Design.

    It falls behind only Technical Step and Ogi Namikiri (1265+ relative potency, increasing with crit modifier), and both are on twice as long an effective cooldown.



    Would you really prefer Communio hit for twice its bonus over combo effective average ppgcd (460) --for 1540 potency-- but be available only every other Shroud / have a 2-minute cooldown?

    Baffles me in FF6 Locke used to begrudgingly correct people calling him a thief with "Treasure Hunter". With a bit of creative writing they could give us THF, but call it something else like "Buccaneer" or "Scavenger" and throw a gambling theme (chucking exploding dice, conal AOE cards, etc).
