Alts or Fantasia rabbit hole? which one do you prefer?

I tried doing alts plenty of times, but at some point end up bored, because it really feels a slog doing all again, and the game being alt unfriendly doesn't help either.

So, sometimes I end up just fantasiaing a bit too much, and the cost can end up going up real quick, but using it correctly can be nice to spice things up a bit form time to time. So I guess I end up prefering this method than the first.

so, which do you prefer?

I do a bit of both: I have several alts but I do occasionally use fantasia, mostly on my main.

I'd say that I do more alts than fantasia. An alt is cheaper than fantasia.

Neither. I don't use alts, I have looked the same for 12 years.

I do an alt before a fantasia to see if I like the new race in-game before spending money. The character creator doesn't really show enough variety of environments or movement (not to mention voice clips).

Alts because I'm literally not spending extra money on my "I want to play this race" addiction.

Fantasia is such a racket, I'm surprised people buy into it.

$10 to change your character one way is absurdly overpriced. It should be free but with a cooldown (like maybe a month or something).

Somehow I think the Buy to play monthly sub + paid expansion game with premium skins and mounts will survive.

It would be kinda nice if the character creator had a little striking dummy or just show off a few basic battle skills so you can hear those battle cries.
In 1.0 you were able to WASD your character around freely in the character select. They need to bring this back.

Alts generally. But it's a nightmare because my completionism mentality dictates that I need to hunt for achievements, mounts, and minions, etc. Even on the alt.

Alts I guess, but only on an extremely minor level. My main has basically looked the same since I started outside of the occasional hair style/colour change and I couldn't really ever see myself changing her all that much. I do have a couple of alts that I dabble with on occasion that I have for alternate appearances but I barely ever play them so it's not really fair to say I use them as any sort of regular escape from my main.
