E3 Expectations

Cynical response:
If they try to pull out some CG cinematic bull like SE usually does and show no damn gameplay then can pretty much hammer that last nail into the coffin for this game as they won't be drawing in any new customers or lost players.

Optimistic response:
I hope they really show off the redesigned enviroments, I'll be sooooo pumped if they have some epic, sweeping shots of a bunch of new areas. Throw in some nods to classic FF (like Ultima weapon) and I'll pretty much soil myself with excitement. :I

If they r gonna show only CGI i suggest Yoshi-p to calm down the people expectations by saying that it will only be CGI or not before the show or some people will try too much the E3 day...

Almost 100% positive Yoshida said they're putting together a teaser site for 2.0, which is to be launched at E3. They've also said they'll be showing the new CG trailer at E3, so that's a given. Outside of that, we might see something else, we might not. Just going to have to wait and see.

I expect a lot of people are going to be disappointed from actual lack of new info revealed at E3. Just a few pretty trailers, maybe a new class or two revealed.

I can't wait to finally have an MMO on my PS3. Now I won't have to lug my computer round in case I'm on the go. Wish I had a laptop, but a PS3 is better anyways :P

PC gaming is almost always better, save for the often ridiculous hardware prices. For what you can do with it though, it's great. Anyway, I'm looking forward to just being able to play the freaking game on PS3 more than the new version itself. Kind of hard to lug a desktop around when I travel, not to mention my system's been gathering dust lately. Need something to play on it.

I expect a short CGI trailer with a few in-game clips here and there.

Yoshi-P already said that in E3 they will show things that we already know about, but also that we were getting some nice treats in E3 as well. I expect us to also get some information to light a bit of a spark in the 2.0 teaser site which is coming live at E3 as well.

Personally, I don't expect any major information. Yoshi-P already stated that he was going to start releasing information about 2.0 periodically after E3. I only expect him to start the fire and add wood as the days go by.

I completely agree with you, if that's the case he should've announced that long time ago.
If it's only CGI it's a huge let down and it's biggest opportunity missed. With as many people as there will be following E3, he should be pulling all the stops, tricks, rabbits out of the hat, and more so that people talk about this game.

E3 will, IMO, be the ultimate test to see if Yoshida really is the best man for the job. It's one of the biggest chances they have at promoting and getting people to talk about 2.0 and if they go all low-key on us, then they clearly have no idea what they're doing.

Yoshida said that they won't show what is not in Presenting status, They will have stuff to show.. but only what they completed thus far for 2.0. and of course other 1.0 stuff for the people that havent seen the new and improved changes.
