So why did FC's get more Ishgard plots

This isn't unusual, whenever plots have been added in the past they were initially FC only and relocation. SE has said they'll monitor each server and adjust private/FC wards on a server by server basis this time. Shirogone was a ghost town when it was first opened to housing before private new homes were allowed along with the new wards in the other 3 housing districts.

Yeah, this is pretty much their response to people complaining that before this they'd do all wards FC only for a bit before opening to private buyers. Still not the best plan doing it with a blanket coverage from the start. Hopefully we'll see them adjust the wards with this coming maintenance and lottery cycle.

I don't really see the bug causing an issue. Before the bug existed FC's could of went to Ishgard to get them before knowing. I just think it was a dumb idea to p[ut more wards for FC's then private when there are more private buyers then FC's. Just like how some people have multiple housing from a long time ago and they could make the player choose one house and relinquish the rest to free up some plots

The logic is that FCs can house more people than private housing via FC rooms. It's to encourage more FCs to be made and ensure that they have houses first.

Shirogane sold out on most worlds same day it opened (patch 4.1) because there was no personal purchase moratorium at the time, nor was there any purchase timer in the game at that time. The reason it was a ghost town for all of 4.0 was because it was only available for preview, not for purchase, just as Empyreum was available only for preview in 6.0.

It was the patch 4.2 and 5.1 ward additions that had the personal purchase moratorium so wards remained mostly empty at first.

The patch 5.3.5 ward addition saw everything sell out almost immediately again because there was no moratorium.

I expect there to be at least 2 more rounds of lottery with the current split before SE starts adjusting wards on an individual basis. They may even wait until 6.2 (they were a bit vague about the frequency they would use for making the ward adjustments).

It's a rather faulty logic for SE to be using (if in fact they are) now that apartments are freely available. Players are better off getting an apartment subject to no one else's whim than a FC room that they can lose if an officer throws a fit and starts kicking members.

I doubt it has anything to do with the number of players being housed and everything to do with FC specific content (workshops, Grade 3 FC actions) being gated by ownership of a FC house.

It is the same on all the wards anywhere.. Mist, Lavenderbeds, Shirogane, Goblet... if you leave a house from one of the marked wards it will be for FC to either relocate or moveto in next lottery phase.

I saw that 1-18 in all areas are FC. So even though it was possibly a private is now FC plot only. I really hate the decision the devs did in giving FC's way more plots. FC's aren't envisioned as they hope it would be building communities and such. Even workshops are FC only. I think they need to go back and see how the majority play and FC's today are just Linkshells with buffs
