    Is the last pull of Tower of Zot overtuned

    4x Zot Colossus
    1x Zot Roader
    1x Zot Armored Weapon

    It's a standard pull of 6 mobs, but something about this pack in particular is hitting alot harder than anything else in EW dungeon W2W pulls. You could pop every single CD form both tank and healer and still have the potential to die.

    I'm on my 14th lvl90 grind, and there's just something off about that pack that leads to alot of wipes.

    Seems to be a standard thing where the last set of trash mobs before the final boss of each EW dungeon is a bigger 'pool' of mobs, or their strength is higher, or both (like the two Hypertuned and a Roader at the end of Tower of Babil, or the two Terminus Bellweathers at the end of Vanaspati that spawn a pack of Terminus Brawlers that could pummel you into submission if you're not standing up on the fallen pillar to the platform.).

    I ran Tower of Zot with Trusts/Duty Support as PLD repeatedly and never really had too much trouble with it (mind you even my first run of that I was kind of overlevelled on it, so maybe it's just hard doing it at level, but I don't know.).

    I don't recall it being particularly scary. Certainly nothing like Holminister Switch large pulls.

    Only for one level, once Tanks get their 82 abilities it's smooth sailing, it's doable with an 81 tank it's just really tight on tank CD usage and healer being on the ball for it. Living Dead changes probably make 81 DRK the best tank to do that pull nowadays though imo.

    It's why i shake my head at people like Mr Happy wanting to get rid of Shield Bash, if the healer is a non WHM, you can chain stun a pack like this on PLD to make some breathing room in situations like this that have a tendency to go sideways.

    You can't "chain stun" them, you just stun 1 enemy at a time. That pull is 6 enemies so you're _essentially_ lowering the damage you take by 17% for 12 seconds (if you have no other mitigation running). It's less useful if you're using your mitigations correctly, and outputting AE damage is going to be better in the long run. Or, Hallowed ground should come up right after the second boss, just save that for that pull. Using Shield Bash there is "ok", but 1 pull in 1 dungeon is hardly a good reason to keep it.

    I wish they had more of the difficult wall to wall pulls in dungeons. It makes it more fun to know there is a possibility of wiping to something instead of just the normal, no actual threat pulls.

    Unfortunately players ruined that idea by exploiting it for easy EXP gains - Aurum Vale specifically players used to queue for it, clear out the first room of mobs, then leave, rinse and repeat (other dungeons suffered from it too, but AV was the worst for it because of the one large area just before the first boss was filled with mobs and so it was easier to exploit).

    This is why dungeons now only reward EXP as a lump sum at the end of the dungeon rather than for individual kills, and why there are no longer treasure chests in the areas before the first boss of each dungeon, it's to stop players mass pulling the first area and then leaving, and thus to encourage them to actually stick with the dungeon to the end.

    Once again, this is why we can't have nice things.

    I somehow doubt that Aurum Vale was the reason they changed how EXP works consider that would only be useful for a very short series of levels in ARR then completely fall off in usefulness since EXP goes up significantly with each expansion, even with the squish.

    Pulls on most of the EW dungeons feel incredibly strong outside of Dead Ends and the other current endgame dungeons. Whenever I end up in any 81-89 EW dungeons, even when the Tank is at max level for the dungeon with endgame gear every pull is still a little bit more brutal compared to Dead Ends, Stigma Dreamscape, Smileton or Alzadaal's Legacy.
