normally i would say, yes, but alot of the group have taken breaks from the game for a bit to play that game that just released(we all know which one) so it's been really quiet the last week or so in there. if you are still looking for a discussion group once they return i will be glad to send ya the info to join in though.

edit: i didn't realize how much i depended on the conversations during the day to keep myself motivated to be in game until this last few weeks without everyone else there. i've seen my game time drop dramatically as a direct result.

also another thing you can do is grab skype since it doesn't require a monthly fee like both mumbles and ventrillo does so you can catch people in game or on the forums and get a group discussion going there as it is alot more convenient than trying to type out a complete conversation. just trying to give a few ideas on different ways to go with things.

I often discuss ideas and thoughts to my real life friends all the time on this game. 2.0 is just going to be another same old same old mmo. Unless they come up with something surprising. That's pretty much what we came up with.

And your ideas help a lot. Thank you.
I'll try downloading Skype now, probably just hadn't bothered before because I figured it was primarily for webcams, but no monthly fees would certainly bring in other user groups too... This should be a great help.

If only as a rule of thumb, if it doesn't say it's going to change and show means to do so, then it won't. Personally, I think 2.0 will be a benefit. But I don't think it will make the game fulfilling except for those for whom the live version is already satisfying. This is also why I feel a bit disappointed by those who are adamant on waiting for 2.0 before thinking of suggestions. 2.0 is not a perfectly set deal. Most of its advancements are in framework, but it is not mutually exclusive with most good suggestions that can be made. And for the suggestions that would require additional changes to framework, the sooner they are brought forward, the better.

Just my stance, which I can only hope is relevant. People should be able to follow deeply enough into the fundamentals of a game they've played to enjoy it, but they should also come out of those depths with ideas intact - not merely toss them out for the sake of "practicality". And with each time you dive in, both into the game itself, and cycling through your ideas, your view gets a little clearer and broader. In a way, that should be enough fun to warrant the effort already.

<--Player Bias: joined the game slightly enraptured by it, enjoyed the Echo quest-line and similar greatly even if they seemed a bit poorly done, enjoyed my first leveling parties and exploring almost every zone, but have steadily lost drive to the point of only logging in for daily leves and a little sightseeing - both to outside music.

skype is a free voice chat, but if you want to have the capability for group cam chats it does have a monthly fee. if you are one on one chats you can cam back and forth freely though. i've been with many groups that just use it for the voice chat calls and it works quite well if that's all you use it for. if you need any help setting it up or someone to chat with on there my skype id is same as my id on here.
