    Materia server repeated lost connection

    I keep getting disconnected with error 9002 and then when i try to relog, i got error 2002 and the closes all together so i had run the launcher again.

    It happened 5 times last night and it's starting to happen again tonight.

    I'm on Materia DC, Sophia server

    The other night nobody could log in for 3 hours too and there's been a large number of reports of bad lag spikes.
    Wondering what the Data center Admins are up too.

    Honestly though, im starting to get resentful of the fact I cant run content, old or new as there's just nobody in duty finder, even during peak.
    Its a good thing i have a great FC keeping me rooted here.

    Exact same issue here, internet is completely fine everywhere else and still sometimes just get randomly disconnected, and then it's a coinflip if I'm able to just go straight back in, or if the login fails and kicks me out entirely. Can be watching a stream that gets zero frame drops, pauses or decreases in quality when this happens, so not an internet issue on my end.

    Have seen this happen to others in duties also.

    9002 smacking me in the face a lot here too. Not packet loss between me and the server until the disconnect and I’ve tried every google fix under the sun. Seems likes its on squares side

    This is occurring for everyone in our household (myself, wife and daughter) and when we log back in, there is always a queue to get back onto Bismarck, so we know it isn't just us that are being kicked off. Any other game or activity online is not having any issues.

      Windows Defender

      Mate Communicate

    • Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens?
      When the game stops processing actions, like everything is freezing up (5-10 seconds), we get kicked from the game with a 90002 error code.
    • Does the issue only happen with one specific character or a certain time frame? Please clarify.
      Only got the one character and time frame wise it can happen at any time of the day or night.

    Edit: Just now was kicked off (only in game for about 3 minutes) and it was a 90001 error

    Route Plot

    I can reinforce this issue. It appears to be a route drop between NTT and Telstra. I was able to capture it this time in pingplotter. The issue started approximately 17/04.
    Note the below image showing the drops. The path itself is strange, and it suggests NTT arent properly advertising these routes as well. Its uncommon to see traffic from Perth go via Adelaide and Melbourne to Sydney, when there are better options direct from Perth to Sydney, especially for NTT (id actually expect this traffic to go via Vocus to Sydney then via peering to NTT, given they are partnered)

    Yep, still happening for me too, though they've been 90006 errors since last update. Have had two since maintenance ended, which is very fun.

    Not OP obviously, but;

    Wireless
    Windows Defender
    Dodo
    South-east NSW
    Have seen 90002 and 90006 errors, not sure what code is provided when the main menu fails to log in and just shuts down the game though. Majority have been 90002 though.
    Only have one character that I use, and happens randomly at any time of day.


    No periods of lost connection or lag show up in anything else I'm using still, even at the time the game freezes up.

    Edit: Three 90006 errors since maintenance, last was when tabbed out watching a stream that was playing perfectly fine.

    I been having issues like this since the 16th of May. Mine arrive every 30-40 minutes when its worst. Can see that the receiving part drop to 0 and shortly after I get disconnected and get a 90002 code.
    Since I started playing the game 8 years ago. I had a good track record of a DC count around 15-20 total in all those years.
    Since the 16th I had 9 so fare. And they mean I can't play the game more than just use it as a social chat with online friends. Not a whole lot of joy to be had as you can't really hope to be stable for runs or content.
    Anyway on to your question, Darneltia.

    Wired, always wired, as over the air you are just dropping your Mbits so hard.
    - Do you have any firewalls or anti-virus software installed on the machine if are using a Mac or Windows PC? If so, which ones do you have installed?
    Windows Defender and the Firewall that comes along with it.
    - Internet Service Provider
    Parknet
    - Location/Region you are in (Not in game, your actual location)
    Denmark, Europe.
    - Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens?
    90002 happens. I then can just close that message and log in, wait for the game to log out the character and instantly put in in the queue before logging back in.
    - Does the issue only happen with one specific character or a certain time frame? Please clarify.
    It happens for all my characters. And I have it happen super early morning, afternoons and evenings. Most of the day, all days all week. Only time I had something being stable was Thursday and Friday the 19th and 20th of May. There was no issues at all.

    Windows defender and default firewall. Explicit allow for ff14
    - Internet Service Provider - mate communicate
    - Location/Region you are in (Not in game, your actual location) - ACT, Canberra
    - Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens? 9002, followed by 2002.
    - Does the issue only happen with one specific character or a certain time frame? Please clarify. - happens on all characters, more often during peak hours (5-9pm) but I’ve had it also happen early morning at like 6-9am
