Stalking and Harassment

Since a friend of mine has to deal with an obsessed stalking for some times in FF now i guess it's time to give Square Enix Feedback about how bad there messurements against stalking and harrasment still is.

Guess like many Stories of this kind it's a Friendship that went south, to far south in this case, because people can't handle rejections.

While outside the Game the matter is easy to desolve, blacklist on discord and pretty much done, sadly in FF it won't do anything.

Even a Server transfer we used did not help at all... why well for a few reasons...

Problem 1: When you remove someone from your friendlist you're still on his.
Solution: Remove the person from the friendlist, this is an easy fix even with writing tests... Working for many years as an Developer it's embarassing to see how poorly it's handled in FF.

Problem 2: Blacklist only works per Character.
Solution: You got the Square Enix ID... do i have to say it? Okay... Blacklist the whole Account...

Problem 3: lodestone. Using the same character id after a server transfer makes it SUPER easy to stalk people.
Solution: Handle the characters as a new one. Add a reference Id to the onld character Id from the old server in your Database and don't expose it through API's.

Problem 4: Even after blacklisting the person can still use the Player Search and Partyfinder to see where you're and/or join your group.
Solution: You got the character Ids... in a perfect world you would just the Square Enix ID... A search query for this tools to see if he is allowed to see a name/listing from someone on his blacklist is a easy fix.

The game need changes to fix this problem and i hope the FFXIV Team knows it and works on it already. It's nothing impossible and not even hard to implement.

Guess the only solution for now is to wait till he stalks us again on our new server, where he by the way transferred now thanks to still having my friend on the friendlist and easy access to the character on lodestone, tell him off and when he doesn#t stop to report him for harrasment and hope he get banned for it.

It's really frustrating...

This game has severe privacy problems
Allow us to
1. Change our name for free or be able to put up a false name
2. Change our race, gender and customization for free or allow us to randomize our appearance at will
3. hide our membership in an FC or LS or CWLS
4. Transfer world and servers for free at will, not just travel to them and have all the inconveniences of not being in our home world
5. Change our lodestone id at will, or at least be able to delete our lodestone profile

1. Not gonna happen, people will abuse this
2. Same, people will abuse this. Why would you change so often anyway ? You have to change race/gener every day because you aren't satisfied ?
3. For this one, I can understand. Sometimes FC have trouble against each other, and when you join one you may be caught in those trouble without doing anything. And sometimes this could lead to potential harassment because of a FC with bad reputation. But for LS/CLWS, I don't understand why. (Maybe you can devellop this one)
4. Not gonna happen, but they should give one transfer for free if a harassment case is validated, allowing the victim player to go away easily.
5. Highly doubt that will happen, why would you do that anyway ?

don't care if people will abuse it, it sounds like a big load of not my problem, and something this small indie company with no funding needs to figure out how to solve, instead of letting people get harassed just because it's more beneficial to their bottom line.
