I do believe there is some merit to concern about personal views entering the game itself. If you proudly emblazon your workplace on your supposedly personal public social media accounts where you take a dump on certain segments of the fanbase and post your opinions on controversial subjects, it shows you can't fully seperate your personal life from your professional life. Especially when you are essentially a gatekeeper between languages, who is in charge of conveying ideas from one segment of the population to another.

Generally, I don't believe what people do in their personal lives outside of business should be held against them professionally but, as you said, this is someone whose "personal account" is not shy about what she does for a living which, in turn, gives her a platform she wouldn't otherwise have as just Joe Random FFXIV fan. Adding on the fact that she's responsible for translation, which I have discussed at length with people who use other language translations how different theirs are from EN, and it certainly starts to become concerning.
