    Paladin AOE

    Obviously there isn't any there but I was wondering if it's worth making a macro to remove shield, foresight, overpower, and then do a WS?

    Does overpower work like that? I read it and it says it makes the next attack aoe but I don't know if it would work with a ws or even if we could parry without a shield.

    It seems to me we either need to be able to parry and use that, have the damage on war drum scaled up greatly, or scale up war drum damage to a decent amount and lower the cd greatly.

    Overpower is a WS. Conal AOE, low damage, parry reaction. It should not find its way onto your paladin bar unless they add parrying with a shield equipped in the future.

    Not worth it. AoE Flash and War Drum, let hope they fix War Drum in 1.22b.
    Its starting to look good for PLD

    Yeah sorry I misread the ability and though it would make your weapon skill go aoe! I'm hoping War Drum or some sort of aoe damage is added. Either that or content that requires serious tanking without an aoe dps race.

    Well ok, not really. War Drum needs a redesign or a buff. And a shorter cooldown.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
