    good for talking to a group of people, especially in crowded places + you get to look at the whole screen all the time instead of the corner + you notice immediately when someone says something as opposed to missing their msg because you got distracted by something.

    They let me see someone speaking somethign important in the middle of a fight. Sometimes I can't take my eyes off the middle of the screen to check whatever is happening in the chatbox.

    And the solution is pretty simple: make it an option, this way it will appease everyone.

    I agree with this.

    Today, it won't be that hard to actually make chat bubble an on/off option AND allowed "per channel". For exemple, you want to allow bubble for "say" chat, but not for "Yell". Definitely doable.
