It's arbitrary when you consider most the playerbase doesn't engage here. When they see what they don't like in the game, they simply leave. Oh how quickly we forget that it's by the dev's admission that this is the truth. Yet it vanishes from you people's memory the moment it runs counter to praising the game unending.
"Just you". I can't navigate the forums for you. If you're truly so ignorant as to the common complaints that stretch as far back as Stormblood, I can only applaud your density and hope you continue to enjoy this game on your own grounds. As long as you have yours, nobody else matters, after all. We've had one of the largest losses of players after the WoW exodus with people dismissing it as "There's always a drop in players after enough time in expansions." True enough, but am I to believe that returning to the normal lull after an at least doubling of our populations is normal? I'd hesitate to call this the death of the game, but clearly something is wrong if it pushes away borderline the same amount of people and some change we got in the exodus.
You are really obnoxious tbh I wouldn't listen to your feedback just to spite you if I was dev.
Good thing professional environments don't hire petulant, short-sighted and overgrown children. Let's break down the source of frustration since apparently you have the logical reasoning of a raw fish and need it done for you:
>People make a request of the state of a certain thing after an overhaul
>It gets ignored for a year and some change.
>The opinions grow more unified, creating a massive mega-thread and even beginning to spill over in other area.
>You continue to ignore it for a few more years.
>One of their questions, formatted and rather politely constructed, makes it to your table on a PR stint.
>You insult all of them. You tell them to get lost.
And now you feel in the right to spite people who might be a bit pissed off you spat in their face earlier? Ignoring the fact that you really shouldn't be spiting the people that, y'know, give you money, you probably shouldn't feel in the right to also spite people you've actively told to f- off. But no. The only thing that matters is you. As long as you get your way, player or dev, screw everyone else. This is that attitude that I'm sick of from the both of you. If you think I was always this abrasive, you're a developmental failure. There was a time I was a lot nicer when trying to make my points, much like how there was a time the frustrations weren't so loud and infectious. But you've not only the nerve to continue ignoring it, but you go on to think you're in the right to spite people you would wrong in this scenario.
Get bent, loser.

As much as I mind your reasoning, I would like to ask you refrain yourself from being overtly abusive with your language. Calling someone a 'developmental failure' isn't something I'm about to let slide. You can name call all you like though, but it's not going to help you get your ideas to the side. Many, MANY people do not regard others who will speak like this in an abusive or downplaying manner, toxic positivity or no.Good thing professional environments don't hire petulant, short-sighted and overgrown children. With all due respect, and I do mean this genuinely as you're one of the few people to actually keep civility in mind when engaging with me, I just don't think I'll be doing that. It's not lost on me how corrosive I'm being, but neither will I apologize, repent, or be sympathetic to those I fling said poison at. This has not been an occasional thing that hasn't gone my way in this game. This is an amazing piece of media I've invested a lot of time and money into. I was a healer main for years while having eyes only for AST.As much as I mind your reasoning, I would like to ask you refrain yourself from being overtly abusive with your language. I moved onto WHM. Certainly I'd find solace there.

Blue Mage is coming out? Along with Mimic, one of my favorite jobs. Mayhaps I'll find something there.

Okay, fine. I guess I get the hint that I should play a red icon. Samurai looks fun--
Neutered.
Tank... main?

This is all while ignoring my repeated failures to secure a house for almost a decade and, again, me taking extreme umbrage with Yoshi's comment on both that and the state of healers. And in the midst of all it, I don't find camaraderie here. I don't find sympathy or understanding. I find people who side with the insults and suppression of complaints, no matter how civil or gently placed they may be. I find little else than flagrant disregard because "Hey, as long as I got mine." While I hardly use this as justification for my increasingly venomous demeanor, I hope it instead comes as an understanding as to why it's happening. I mean hell, just here someone implied that developers would be in the right to spite a userbase they've been on record for insulting, ignoring, and even expressing disinterest in fixing ("We can't find a way to make healers good" despite having, well, a professional dev team which I would hope is at least semi-highly paid). Pleasantries ended a while ago. If I'm to be disrespected regularly by the community, then I feel no need to be friendly or kind to those I couldn't care less if they vanished tomorrow. Case by case, like present company, will warrant a more coherent and less ill-tempered answer. Not everyone deserves both barrels. But I am done entertaining those who would insult and suppress while expecting nothing but a smile in return. This is not a great community and I'm tired of pretending it is.

I understand the grievances you have with the development team and the game. Some of them I share since I've been healing for the past 2 Expansions. Of course, there are going to be people who are going to attempt to derail or simply insult others' opinions - whether they be constructive or not - because everyone's different. I don't mind inclusiveness, but there has to be a line that is drawn so as we aren't harming each other and our community with harmful insults or deprecative expletives. Some, like yourself, have a limit to the point they can't take it anymore, and that's fine. What isn't fine is not setting an example and simply taking it out on others to the point you're doing the exact same thing that you've seen in the first place. There's anger, annoyance. Something that Yoshida should see because we're discontent with what the Development Team has failed to do in the past few months since Endwalker's release, or even during Shadowbringers. With all due respect, and I do mean this genuinely as you're one of the few people to actually keep civility in mind when engaging with me, I just don't think I'll be doing that. Typically, this thread was with all intents and purposes meant to serve as a way to express our grievances towards the Development Team and their lack of listening and discussion. There hasn't been an open discussion in years with Naoki Yoshida aside from FFXIV's Partners, such as MrHappy, Zepla HQ, MTQ, etc., who are all in line with keeping things positive and not bearing to express criticism. At times they have, but only in small ways that weren't broad strokes. Not to slander, but poking at certain things that get people's attention. They have asked sensitive questions in the Endwalker Tour because Healers have reached a boiling point, and it's going to boil over soon enough if things keep getting worse.

I doubt that these people will ever ask real questions since they want to be very nice (just like se whiteknights) and be part of media tour in future (more content for them). Im sure if they did asked about healers it was staged aswell.Typically, this thread was with all intents and purposes meant to serve as a way to express our grievances towards the Development Team and their lack of listening and discussion. FF14 going wow's route because of whiteknights defending SE at all cost.
