I had an alternate idea ever since the primal seals were discovered as a new item type-

    1. Make all totems/nut charms/headdress etc drops continue to operate as they do now, aka: earn a specific amount and trade in to Rowena for the weapon of choice.

    2. Make a new item drop (for all intents and purposes, let's call it a primal signet) directly into a player's inventory (cannot be traded via loot list, like weapons), and this item would drop in place of all potential weapon drops. (i.e. It would have the same rarity that any weapon drop ever had)

    3. This new item, unlike the totems or nut charms or headdresses, would have a 1:1 value when trading in to Rowena for a weapon.

This would make it so that when an actual weapon drops, the player will always have the ability to choose which class the earned weapon will be.

    TL;DR version--

Primal totems/headdresses/nut charm drops >>>>>>> Primal totems/headdreses/nut charm drops
Random Primal weapon drops >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Primal signet drops (exchangeable 1:1 for weapon of choice)

I liked your post but had to point out the saying is "for all intents and purposes".

On another note I completely agree with everyone here, I don't care if it's 100% drop on totems, charms etc. or a new item that drops in place of weapons that can be exchanged for a weapon of your choice just give us something! I've been running the Moogle fight a lot; trying to get an axe, but all I've had drop so far in the past two weeks is four nut charms and a fork (which is totally useless to me). A member of my linkshell however; has received not one but two direct axe drops on the same runs as me, this makes me want to scream! especially seeing the second axe get discarded... the amount of times I've run that stupid fight now I should have a damn axe!

I've Posted something fairly similar so i agree. main diference was that the "Signet" would be converted to weapon of choice at a "clickable thing" post fight. Like:

Ifrit dead, chance to get "Ifrit Horn" item.
Irfit dead, "Aether infused lava spout" spawns
"Ifrit Horn" + "Lava Spout" = Ifrit weapon of your choice.

Your idea would likely make it easier on SE to impliment. I liked mine mostly for the themeatic, and the Hurrah of equiping your new weapon right after the fight so everyone you killed ifrit with can Huzzah with you ^^

TL;DR: I approve your this, and the OP. You each recive one coveted Like from me, with love ^^

I agree making totems 100% drop (1 totem every time you successfully clear a fight) and requiring somewhere around 10-20 totems for weapon. With 10 totems required for one weapon, it would take max 70 fights to get all weapons. I think that's enough for one fight, but wouldn't mind making it double either.

Also, please let us pass the primal weapons! This has been asked a billion times already.
