David Ryder, the man of many names. He crosses from realm to realm to unleash a new name upon the world at every turn! Today, it's Bob Johnson.
100% is free weapon. I think it should not be 100 %. But because I dont play this much... all I can say if thats so bad, they could increase a rate a bit then. But definietly not 100% - imo.
If this is the case then chance to get weapons at all needs to increase NOW.
I have defeated Ifrit about 30~40 times and only have 3 totems to show for it...not even enough for ONE weapon let alone trying to aim for the whole set (which I have wanted to do ever since I learnt about the Primal weapons.
Also what about those "Welcome Back" people? Their LS may not even exist anymore so they need to find another party to try and get these if they haven't already and in its current rate they may get ONE weapon if lucky....
Come on SE, I subscribe every month to get something special every now and then to keep me interested, I'm probably not gonna ragequit but this is still after many months the #1 most infuriating thing about this game still and it would improve your press coverage on this game.
So as an idea, maybe the last month/patch before 2.0 (assuming these fights are for some stupid reason are being deleted [why keep this games storyline/content so narrowly limited?]) then I also agree and recommend 100% 1x totem drop per win per player (u/u) because these weapons will then be COLLECTOR'S EDITION, just like how you released a FFXIV COLLECTOR'S EDITION.
about the remove, some where at the 2.0 interview had mention, the wep will be replace, dont know about the fight
I agree making totems 100% drop (1 totem every time you successfully clear a fight) and requiring somewhere around 10-20 totems for weapon. With 10 totems required for one weapon, it would take max 70 fights to get all weapons. I think that's enough for one fight, but wouldn't mind making it double either.
Also, please let us pass the primal weapons! This has been asked a billion times already.
It would be great to get a dev response to this ;-)

Bring Quality Notorious Monsters to FFXIV!

They are very likely to be removed as they pertain to the coming of Dalamud and the 7th Umbral Era. Yoshi himself said to experience them now while you have a chance.
JPGAMES.DE, Frederick: To our next question: When your vision of FINAL FANTASY XIV 2.0 is realized, will there be anything left from the current game or are we going to play a whole different one?
Yoshida Naoki: Because we made such an announcement with all the information and that particular screenshot, we have a lot of questions from around the world like: “Is FINAL FANTASY XIV 2.0 going to be totally different?” Actually, it’s not going to be a different game, it’s still FINAL FANTASY XIV, of course, and the realm of Eorzea stays at Eorzea. The only difference is, as you experience now, the umbral era event, this is really going to change the world drastically. So whatever you are experiencing now is brining the future. For example guild leves remain, but some content can only be experienced in the current game. Also, there were worries we would wipe all the character data, we won’t do anything like this. So enjoy the game now and continue when 2.0 comes out.
JPGAMES.DE, Frederick: We definitely will.
Yoshida Naoki: For the guild leves, all the feedback that we receive from the players will be implemented and the proper ideal of good and evil will be brought in with 2.0 as well, also the instanced raids that you are experiencing now will be different as well, but for the primal, what is happening now due to the 7th umbral era, that might not be continued with 2.0. So, what is related to the umbral era you should really experience now.
