Next Weapons

My husband and I were talking about what weapons we'd like to see in the future. Not necessarily a discussion about what jobs that we might see in the future but specifically the weapons used. Thinking back on weapons that have been seen in past final fantasy games, Id love to see a whip, the double sided sword that zidane used in 9, Selphies Nunchaku. It would be interesting to see if they could make the Rackets or Bells not comical.

What are something you'd like to see.

ranged flail would be cool that does melee damage. animation would probably be tricky as you would have to make the chains move like chains. So a whip would be easier but would have to be magic based to make sense... Maybe a beast tamer with a whip weapon would fit.
