What happens if your Free Company was supposed to win the house but one of the people who bid on the house took the money out after the bug, gave it back to the Free Company and a week later left the Free Company.

We had one of our core members leave the FC after the housing bug because he was angry about the housing issue and thought we lost.

At the time he was meant to claim he had been a member for over 30 days and made the bid in good faith. Losing to the system should not cost our FC the house since we were the only ones bidding and at the correct time he was a member.

So what happens if his number is the one that wins? Does our FC lose the house because of this issue? Because if that is the case it would be pretty darn unfair.

Probably. From what SE told us, the winner is a player, not an FC. So, if the winner winds up being that guy. He likely can't claim the house***. So it will go up for lottery again.

*** I doubt that SE would allow a player to bid on an FC house, leave that FC and make his own (or join another) and make the purchase. The 30-day FC member restriction would probably handle that case.

Might be one situation that remains unaccounted for. And yeah, does seem most likely the result will be you're out of luck. Could try reaching out to a mod/GM or whatever, but seems unlikely they'll be able to do anything about it.

That sucks, and I hope it works out for your FC.

But this has now been raised a few times now here and on reddit, so I think it's going to be fairly common this round, and moving forward too.

Sadly yes. If that happens - and I hope it won't - all you can do is take it as a loss, wait for the next round and try again.

I’m thinking of leaving the game. He won. So now looks like we lose our home. And after all that time I’m simply at the point that I’m thinking of leaving the game and going to some other MMO. And I know most in my FC feel the same way.

This is a large. No clue if there are any left. The point is if it wasn’t for this bug we’d be in our new large plot for a month now.

You can bid on it again during the next lottery bid period. There may be more competition this time around, but it's still a chance.

thats the problem. there are now a slightly smaller number of players competing for a much much smaller number of plots. instead of each plot having 5-9 bids like the first round. its now going to be 400-500. if you didn't get a plot the first round. you may as well give up because your chance may as well be 0 its so tiny.

You will be up against other FCs in this round. I'd suggest getting some backup bids on one of the plentiful small houses as well. A small house will at least get you access to the workshop and FC rooms for the members.


And make sure that your entire FC puts the idiot who screwed them over on the ignore list.
