And re-work the housing system completely so everyone can have a house!
I own an FC and have private plot, but I can't even use the lottery system to relocate, even after today's patch they still haven't fixed the issue. Those that was able to enter lottery at least have their chance, who's gonna help those like me that's been kick in the face TWICE, one at initial release and two after today's so claimed FIX after such long wait??

Those that get to enter and messed with have the option to keep their gil if they was winner and asked for refund, how about those of us that can't even enter the lottery and their support is not able to help?? We should have some compensation for missing out such big chances to relocate!

Let's be honest plaque clicking was extremely bad, but the lottery system isn't much better

It's basically a bandaid where instead of clicking/macro clicking for hours hoping your click gets the buy, you hope the RNG system picks your number instead.

On Faerie for instance there are only a few plots left open to private buyers.

Win you get one of the last few plots for the foreseeable future.

Lose, you're waiting for auto demolition timers and going against hundreds of others that didn't get lucky, no different to how it was before.

I honestly vote a third option.

When the housing plots are all filled up, the system creates a new ward.

There's no reason for them not to have it, not even the "but community" excuse because a new housing ward would only generate when all plots are filled.

Just merge the old system with the new, they obviously can't solve the limited housing issue so why are they making it so EVERYONE is equal. Great, the entry time is 5 days, now people who are actively hunting houses are on the same level as the people who play once a week and decided to bid on a house. There should be priority in mind when designing something like this. Remove the cycles, one guaranteed 24 hour period where everyone enters the lottery and that is it. People hunting houses are rewarded for keeping at it, getting multiple tries. The number of bids are decreased, and the people who play once a week can still have a shot.

I am affected by the same bug. I would urge you and anyone else affected by this to put a post on the 'Report in-game bugs' board. There is a thread already up there. The more of us who report this, the more chance there is that they might do something to fix it.

I'd love to think they might get it fixed in time for us to bid this time round, but I'm not going to hold my breath. It seems like housing is low priority unless there is massive adverse publicity.

I am so disappointed that the long wait has still not fixed the lottery system.

The lottery system is a complete joke with the real solution to add more wards and stop stealing homes through demolition.

2. Clicking Placards isn't a realistic option for my work schedule so having the lottery gives me the ability to actually try and win a house. Lottery is 100% a bandaid because of the limited supply, but it is a better, fairer option than first come first serve housing.

People spent months, if not years claiming a Lottery is better than Placard-spamming. (It is, but not for the reasons you might expect.)

Now you got your wish, you don't get a takeback. You dug this hole, you lie in it.

Now, for context.. The only real benefit to Lottery is simply allowing the people to put in their bid and leave. Not spend 24 - 48 hours sitting infront of a piece of wood clicking "buy" every five seconds. That's it. Everything else is done rather poorly, but again. You lot wished for it, now you have to deal with it.
