I have to admit, as much as I enjoy leveling mining and fishing, having to warp to town every 20 minutes is annoying, even when leveling two classes at a time.

Having to warp to town between leves in general kind of bulls**t imo.

Yea, it is lame, but I think that is how they intend it to be. A time sink since it gives high exp, gil, and items.
I would rather that they tune leves so that there's less of a reward or buff trade-in (hint hint, history eval right now sucks) so that coming to town is worth it. The whole "get high exp for 15 minutes, then spent 15 minutes doing nothing" is really not fun, when we could instead have something like "get adequate/above grinding average exp for 30 minutes."
i agree. but the 2 homepoints does help out. Get leves return to camp. finis leves switch to level one class kill myself return to inn. grabs leves repeat. though i wish there were more than 2.
It's a small timesink which is alleviated through the use of anima, and with the introduction of Hamlets it's even less of an issue. I don't really see much issue with how gathering leves are handled since those leves are just meant to help you level, where if you are truly leveling the class for materials you'll find yourself leveling outside of leves rather then in them.
Don't do leves I'd rather get usefull materials while I'm leveling.

...except you get materials during the leves.

...have you even done a DoL leve? One type has you heading off to three nodes and gathering whatever you please until you finish them all, giving extra xp for the gathering itself and a bonus at the end. The other leve type has you gathering spots to try and get three of a quest item, which drops a bucketload of xp on you when you do so. You can still try to aim for whatever materials you want during this time.
How do they "not give you a lot of options"?
