Point is SE is well within their rights to punish them for such. Point still remains breaking rules for whatever reason noble or otherwise is still breaking the rules.absolutely play stupid games win stupid prizes.
but at the same time we have to acknowledge some of the add ons were used to address a weakness in game design, and reporting players for having a minor aesthetic change is petty and cringe.
take house furniture floating for example. you can either A) exploit in-game glitches, or B) use a plugin to do the same thing faster,
everyone in the housing community does floating in some capacity, yoshi p has even visited and handed out prizes for some of these builds but under "misuse of bugs" section of the tos, it is illegal to use either of the above methods
they dont hand out bans to home designers because they recognise what they do is benign and enriches the game in some ways
I just do not get why the intent matters.
It is not a question if should. Point is if SE wants to ban people for such a thing they can. A broken rule is a broken rule and comes with inherent risks. Why is that so hard for people to understand? Sure certain rules are dumb but nevertheless, one should not be shocked if they get introuble for breaking an agreement which is the ToS. We can whine and cry about how it is unfair but let us be real it is clearly written in said ToS.
As I said point is SE is well within their rights to ban people for such things. You can disagree with the rules but rules are rules.
.....so exactly what i said. play stupid games win stupid prizes but the rules are dumbIt is not a question if should. Point is if SE wants to ban people for such a thing they can. It is a faceless company, can really is the only thing that matters. Should they do such things, I do not think so. Point I am making is that they can and well within their rights to do so.
Sure it is a dumb rule but let us be real most feedback ia not how x rule is dumb it is more so crying how SE should not punish people for breaking said dumb rule.
