To be fair, even that wouldn't do, as their logs not showing up would be equally a "mark of shame". It'd have to read instead as something like "This player has not yet claimed their logs or has not yet allowed you to follow them."

I realize that sounds like setting the website as a whole to "opt out" by default, and from a player search perspective it is; the difference is merely that the anonymized logs are still available to fflogs' body of data for larger-sample class-comparison metrics and the like.
