This attitude is why casuals are so toxic, and is extremely unhelpful if you actually want people to accept ACT instead of being afraid of it.

Nobody deserves to be harassed, it goes both ways. Anyone who harasses other people over their DPS should get banned from the game, end of.

Casuals are toxic because they are enabled. If people are doing previous expansion dps, get called out for it, and STILL have a GM shield them, of course they're not going to care and will openly display how much they want to annoy people because they cannot be punished. MSQ doesn't punish them, normal raid doesn't punish them, 24 mans don't punish them so they can do whatever they want and nothing will ever affect them until the game forces them to care, which will never, ever, ever happen.

They're toxic because they've been enabled for NINE YEARS. Still counting on that timeline by the way.

I should have screenshoted it. But I didn’t. And you’re right. It does sound suspect. But I’m not lying. Tbh. I was absolutely floored. I’ve never dealt with anyone on the forums doing that to me before. And there’s a reason that person suddenly stopped replying in this thread. :/

Mental refers to your ability to function under pressure, and to keep your emotions under control. Tackling something like Ultimate or Savage content takes strong mental, because you have to be able to deal with being wiped or wiping the party 10-17 minutes into a complex fight, without letting it tilt you and affect subsequent pulls.

Someone like you, who can't discuss the concept of visible DPS numbers without emotionally flying off the handle, just doesn't fit into that kind of environment. People tend to want rational and mature players. No one wants to deal with someone who holds the group back, but is too volatile to approach about the problem. People don't even want to deal with that type of player in casual content either.

Your life will be a lot less stressful if you put 5 seconds of effort into actually understanding what you are reading, instead of kneejerking and immediately getting mad because you are ignorant to terminology.

You're right, there is a reason why I stopped replying. I hit the daily limit for replying. It's very difficult to fend off accusations when you hit your allotted forum limit for the day.
But that wasn't me. It'd be hypocritical beyond belief for me to be all about the rules then turn around and break a different rule for harassing you. There is not a dang thing I could gain by contacting you in game. Not to mention, harassment is reportable. I wouldn't do something full well knowing I could get jailed over that. My best guess is it's some other forum rat that read the discussion and took it upon themselves to inflame the situation more. I am sorry that happened to you. Despite how things have gone between us, harassment is not something I tolerate.

To go as far a anti cheat or blanket banning everyone using them i guess they have chosen the if we dont see it or its not reported we dont care ...

but if your literally promoting them on streams !!.. well what do you expect !!

There was talk years and years ago where yoshi-p had stated he may think about developed addons for the game .. i guess he took the middle road and felt they would cause more trouble than good and choose not to pursue unless they were caught /reported using them !!

im not sure if anyone remember at the start of ARR there was all this dirty gil being injected though rmt and exploits the devs stepped and just started ripping millions of gill off players left right and centre .. and WOW the community was pissed not sure their going to take the chance of banning everyone using addons regardless of them being " simple addons " or "exploiting mods "


@ YukiB .. because of limit have you ever seen the gathering mod its been around since ARR was first released and the duplicate character mod ..

they tele port to each node to gather faster in the same area ..

not sure what the duplicate character mod is for prob the same thing but that is a thing and has been around for years and years , now and then i would see like 20 30 characters all clipping in each other with the same name in uldah

and im also 100% sure there is more and much more that do harm to the game and community than do good !

i dont use any addons i dont see any point to them and i really dont think there needed !
