Sounds like something you say when you are ashamed of something and try to hide it.

The only time I ever blocked my logs is when I had someone stalking me. Props to them, I guess, because I didn't even think to lock that down as I thought there was *no way* someone would be as insane as to calculate my play time based on uploads.

I wonder if that guy ever got therapy.

I can see it being used in statics. A lot of statics host try-outs anyway and can normally tell if someone is underperforming. If however you're talking about a random in PF demanding your logs, just report them lol.

The number it gives you is just data that's slightly more detailed than binary success or failure. Without any further data to compare (which at week 1 I'm assuming is going to be scarce) it really doesn't mean much. And ultimately damage is the result and not the cause. Displaying your virtual score really tells nothing about why it is the way it is.
You don't actually use ACT do you? It allows you to diagnose damage TAKEN as well, which is critical during prog.

Consistency and quick at learning new mechanics. But those aren't measurable. But IMO they are far more important than your parses.

A lot of people are deluded into thinking that they are good at the former while having bad parses though. My experience shows that there is a moderate correlation. But you always get the 99 percentile rank 20 parser who fuck up every single mechanic and you wish there was a metric that just showed progression skill.

How dare they indeed - but do you really want to know the damn hurdle into raiding? It's people. The reason why people have a hard time getting into statics is because of a logistical hurdle of performance - "Have good log or don't get in". I see it a lot when I'm staring at the multiple Primal Discords that have recruitment channels for raiding. Most of the time, people refuse to help others build themselves up to their level by providing resources or helping them understand certain things about their job. You introduce a medium that creates a bar for performance into the game, people are going to create that hurdle no matter what you do. Playing with others of comparable skill level? Sure, but it's going to be a bit before you find someone with the rating you're looking for.

I started a static myself because I realized something that is missing within the community: an openness to teach people in a group rather than exclude them because they don't meet your criteria in terms of performance. Personality is an entirely different thing that is handled in the social space alone. Since the last tier of Eden, I've managed to help three people build up their gameplay from the ground up and improve to the point they're now on Part 2 of Hesperos(Savage).

It is not a joke either when I state that there is in fact a demand for Savage groups out there - if we teach them, you can grow a community.
