    This remains true because a Game that doesn't encourage players to become better? does just that vs the opposite of encouraging players to be better by rewarding them for improving, usually in increased performance of any kind. It's just common sense. You lack statistics that you demand of others to proof points, yet we do not need it. We know what happens when people are encouraged to be as lazy as they can be, specially when environments supports that mentality, game or no game. The Irony? is that EW's story is about making mankind overcome adversity to make them resilient to any future hardships. Having players request optional depth with Job nuances and complexity, does not affect your ability to clear casual content as it lacks any difficulty. Meaning?

    Optional Job depth means Optional. You can continue mastering nothing and not do Raiding that we are not forcing anyone into either with increased optional Job difficulty. If you want your floor-licking dead body be dragged by Duty Support NPC's through the finish lines? Power to you. But having an environment where everything that is made of pillows be made even more comfier? does nothing to improve the games gameplay, because it conditions players to find everything to difficult, to which they will complain on the forums up to over 2000+ posts on making the cakewalk content even more boringly easier.

    This is your final stance... Nothing in your posts states anything about what you hope to see in 7.0 to improve gameplay. Optional Job depth is not forcing players to Raid btw... You clearly want to defend a billion dollar ( indie ) company's revenue... thinking that will make Square create content for you. As you believe players requesting optional Job complexity/nuances is going to cut in the budget ( lol? ) of Square's wallets standing in the way of content being created? Look if that's the hill you want to /playdead on, then yes as you put it " do what suits you indeed " xD

    since the grafical update needs man-hours too, i kinda expect less than normal. dont know what less is exactly. its just a bad feeling xD

    i like the update, but i can already see all the people getting upset for getting less playable content. especially since ew had like 30% more story than normal which makes the normal amount feel less.

    just a hunch though

    Different forms of utility. I don't want my favourite job to just be a downgrade from Warrior in every piece of content except for TOP.
    War is better in every other ultimate, it's better in savage, it's even better in casual content...

    The FFXIV of ARR/HW is LONG dead at this point, and people need to accept that. Every design decision the devs have made has resulted in more players and more revenue, there's no incentive for them to rip up everything they've implemented to satisfy a handful of people.

    Now, with that out of the way...

    Fewer bodychecks in Savage, but tighter DPS checks as a result.
    More Midcore content like Unreal and Extreme.
    More fashion accessories of different types. We have enough parasols for now, maybe some scarves or tails?
    Healers having slightly more complex DPS rotations.
    Either delete positionals entirely for the sake of boss/arena design, or make uptime relevant again with smaller hitboxes.
    Another Exploratory Zone for Relics, but inspired moreso by Eureka than Bozja.

    Time Mage for casters, revamp it from being a niche and honestly pitiful support in past iterations into a full on menace. Something that basically channels Alexander for their spells, maybe even give us a unique mechanic revolving around setting up your cast bar to overlap so you can truly multicast using past and future versions of yourself. God... I would be blaring "Rise" mid-raid using that, on top of all the Jojo references, my lord.

    Besides the graphical update? Honestly just more of the same while having more QoL stuff added in.

    I stopped expecting the game to actually change in its MMO design ever since I got to Heavensward when I had numerous people telling me the game gets so much better. Like I mean the actually game. Questing didnt get better, story got more interesting and the already established raids got better but the hype didnt live up for what people kept gushing about.

    I don't expect it for 7.0, since we just got a melee job in EW and they go in cycles, but; I want a melee DPS job focused on brute force and heavy weapons. Reaper and dragoon are more about sweeping strikes, monk and ninja are about rapid attack combos, and samurai has more cast times than current summoner. I want a DPS that skips the fancy moves and tricks and just hits things really really hard.
