Meracydia, Geomancer job (let me ring my bell), more Gabranth, maybe an alliance raid based on the Mana franchise.

Hoping they add back gear for item glamours and more slider bars for character creation.
I expect that the game will continue with the simplification of jobs, absolutely horrendous gameplay 1-50, boring itemization, 1 button healer dps, continuing to not listen to us, maybe a good story?
What I want is them to have a new team come in and rebuild the game in a new engine like unreal 5... but I know that is a 0% possibility.
I'm hoping for a time skip, used as a justification for a graphical update. And maybe finally letting the twins grow up while we're at it.
A dead game. If the zero queue times on release of 6.1 is any indication.
When graphics gets updated this year (if it does not get delayed to next year), i would like to see character customization get updated in 7.0 with more options to make bit more character more unique.

I think this is a weird fear many people have. This game is no where near what WoW is. I do agree I think it would be better if the game died and a new game was made as the skeleton of 1.0 really shows it's face a lot at times, and limits what can be done with the game.
This part I disagree with. While I think what Yoshi P did with changing 1.0 to 2.0 and reworking the game into something better was great. The game has gone in the poor direction it has with Yoshi P at the helm. As much praise as we give the guy, no one seems to want to acknowledge that all the problems with the game are his fault as well. Which doesn't surprise me as a majority of the people that praise him so much, see no problems with the game.
I doubt the game is going to die though, as they do want it to go on for 10 more years and there have likely already been funds allocated to potentially doing this. I hope class design starts to improve, I feel that most classes don't feel as interesting or fun anymore. I hope the story is interesting, I was not a fan of EW story at all I thought it was a pretty crappy ending to past 10 years of this games plot. Would definitely like a greater variety of content and a less formulaic patch cycle to maintain my interest and curiosity more.
My expectations though are very low. I think the next expansions story will be bad, I think class design will get worst, and I think the patch cycle will stay the same. I likely play at launch, then never play again.

I think we'd be fine with Yoshi P if he'd be allowed to just focus on the one game instead of also having to work on XVI. It feels like the game's focus is suffering from the split attention.
Yes, I know that's not how big corporations work. Doesn't mean I can't wish.
It feels equally as likely that more creativity is then able to fall through the cracks, into realization, with him distracted.... A pragmatics-first approach, let alone that in such a way that frequently misinterprets or misconstrues players wants, can only take a game's direction so far.
In either case, though, it'd be good to start putting some fresh eyes on the scene, even if not at the helm, to compensate for both XVI's distractions and Yoshida's more persistent blind spots (see, for instance, healer complaints).
At a quick glance of looking through what some people want, I think the becomes a bit of a problem as it seems what many players want, and what the devs will likely focus on it making a pretty game, not a good game.It feels equally as likely that more creativity is then able to fall through the cracks, into realization, with him distracted....
