Getting lag spikes on Crystal (Playing from OCE)

Since last night, I've been getting lag spikes while playing on crystal. It's just FFXIV that is lagging and it's just the NA servers, is anyone else from the same region having this issue? The lag seems to come in bursts.

I know there are OCE servers, but my friends are on crystal.

- Do you have any firewalls or anti-virus software installed on the machine if are using a Mac or Windows PC? If so, which ones do you have installed?
- Internet Service Provider
- Location/Region you are in (Not in game, your actual location)
- Does any specific error message/code occur when the issue happens?
- Does the issue only happen with one specific character or time frame? Please clarify.

There seems to be no set time where my game lag, right now, it's very bad, the lag is no longer coming in spikes, the entire NA server is just constantly lagging.

Wired connection
I have Avast antivirus installed
My ISP is Orcon
I live in NZ
No errors, unplayable lag.

Character name: Megumi Celah
Server: Balmung, however all NA servers lag.

I ran a tracert, but I have no idea what any of this means as I am not tech savvy. 225 ping is normal for me. 339 is not though.

I seem to have fixed the issue by using a VPN. It also seems to have lowered my ping to 177ms, which is nice.
