It does make question me just how "dead" the likes of Diabolos and other powerful voidsent are considering that destroying their vessels would not necessarily destroy their souls and other instances of killing voidsent refer to it as simply "banishing them back to the void".
The RDM questline elaborates on how a line of Mhachi sorcerers made a covenant with a Voidsent through ingesting her blood. This is all more than slightly reminiscent of RPR's abilities, right down to siphoning life essence and the accompanying spell effects.






Aside from the connection itself, the most notable thing about this is that the guy who was supporting Lambard and his proto-RPR research was none other than Zenos himself. So the fact that he shows up as a Reaper in Endwalker should come as no surprise, considering he's obviously been interested in this Voidsent stuff for years already.
