Thread: It's been 34 days since 6.1 and SAM still feels like garbage to play

I let my formerly main job sit for 33 of those days and came back to it to see if maybe things felt better. You know, give it some time to kinda 'forget' about it used to play . . .

Nope.

It still plays like absolute garbage. The damage changes to our abilities, the AOE change and removal of Kaiten removed all fun from this job.

How long can SE stay silent on this?

I agree. Ninja is the job I ended up landing on but it certainly requires the most effort of any DPS job I've ever played to be truly effective but by god is it satisfying haha.

Still, I'd drop it in a heart beat if we got SAM back to the way it was in 6.08

You're absolutely right, but my concern at this point is more about the radio silence.

If they said "we hear you, but it'll take us a month before we can actually revert the changes" I'd be understanding, but they haven't said a word, which makes me think their intention is to just ignore the feedback.

Ya I only play it because of my raid static and I'm just too lazy to gear out another job. Otherwise I'd probably switch to drg or something. Outside of raid nights I play anything other than sam. I really hope we get it back in 6.2 along with the removal of the auto crit, but that's probably asking for a miracle at that point, especially since they seem keen on changing how crit works. Even if its just a simple "use kaiten to get auto crit" I'll take that over the crap we have right now....just please take away the shinten spam, its horrid.

I'd actually hate that, because its like some evil genius crap - Remove something we love (kaiten), add something we hate (auto crit) and bring back the thing we love to do something we hate, we continue to moan and then theyre like AH! We'll remove kaiten again. lol.

I'm just going off the basis of Yoshi addressing the crit changes recently and their plans to redesign other jobs crit buffs so the likelihood of them reverting back to 6.08 is 0. At the very least we can get kaiten back and lessen the shinten spam.

I enjoyed Samurai 6.08, I do not enjoy 6.1 / 6.11 with Kaiten removal, and many others do not like Auto-Crit. Just revert it back to a time where a majority of the Samurai enjoyed Samurai. You want changes so badly? go back to 6.08, and change it when the old can be replaced the new that is equally if not better and satisfying.

Every excuse they gave us I am not buying. Got my house though, I can cope for a long while decorating. Doesn't stop me from posting on the other part of the game I am passionate about, my SAM. Give back our Kaiten.
