This isn't criticism for creating a thread on the topic, fwiw, just a note that there's one that does already exist, and combining all the suggestions on one thread is more likely to ensure that all the suggestions get sent to the devs, rather than just those which happen to be in one thread and not some other one.

It would, after all, be unfortunate to collect really good suggestions in this thread... only to have the community reps forward the other one to the devs, thus having the ones in this thread never get seen by them.

Alas, we as a forum community seem to lack object permanence -- at least in this specific section of the forum -- and if something isn't on the front page of General Discussion it seemingly ceases to exist. (Or at least, ceases to exist for 3-8 years, at which point someone performs thread necromancy and puts it back on the front page.)
