While putting together a list is an excellent idea, there is already a thread for this exact purpose.

And the forum mods/community representatives at SQEX have noted in the past that they're far more likely to notice one large thread -- and forward that thread to the devs -- than 14 different small threads on the same topic (which will likely get lost in the forum noise, or -- at best -- have only one of them chosen to forward along to the devs).

This isn't criticism for creating a thread on the topic, fwiw, just a note that there's one that does already exist, and combining all the suggestions on one thread is more likely to ensure that all the suggestions get sent to the devs, rather than just those which happen to be in one thread and not some other one.

It would, after all, be unfortunate to collect really good suggestions in this thread... only to have the community reps forward the other one to the devs, thus having the ones in this thread never get seen by them.

Alas, we as a forum community seem to lack object permanence -- at least in this specific section of the forum -- and if something isn't on the front page of General Discussion it seemingly ceases to exist. (Or at least, ceases to exist for 3-8 years, at which point someone performs thread necromancy and puts it back on the front page.)

Eh, I mean, this forum's search tool is terrible, and honestly I don't blame folks for not going 2-3 pages deep (even with how much churn there is in General Discussion) and trying to peek at every thread to find it.

I half-joke that we lack object permanence in General Discussion, but it's not like the forum exactly helps with that situation. Frequently it's "FWIW, this thread already exists over here" from another poster that's the more reliable way of finding things in the end anyway. :|
