Lost Ark has three CMs constantly replying to forum threads and address concerns

And their forums are way whinier, way more toxic, and way more insufferable.

So why can't the same happen on the official forums of FF14?

BOTH JP and NA/EU feel neglected by Square Enix. Funnily enough a common complaint on JP is that the developers only listen to Westerners.

The real truth is that they are not actively listening to either. That doesn't mean they aren't listening. It means that even when they are listening, they make no effort to indicate that the concerns are heard and the issues are planned to be addressed.

The dev team is aware of this, and the last update I have gotten is that they are exploring different paths for the servers on Europe West to improve issues with population. I do not yet have information on what exactly that decision will be or when it will happen, but I know it is being worked on

Incentive for bot catching is something we’ve floated, but the OP is right – botting definitely is out of control right now, and because of that our focus needs to be on finding a scalable solution to handle the problem instead of pushing any of that responsibility onto players. That said, botting will likely be a long, ongoing battle to fight, so once things are under control maybe this is something we can explore for helping report and catch the stragglers.

Have definitely caught wind of player’s desire to see the cap go up, and will pass it on to the development team, but aside from that there aren’t any plans I can detail at this point in time

The team investigated this issue thoroughly and reported no changes to the involved datasets or bugs that could be reproduced involving Chaos Dungeon rewards. We’ll continue to monitor player feedback on this, but for all intents and purposes nothing has changed within the game.

These were all from JUST the last three days.

We get less than one-tenth the engagement of that from Square Enix in a month.

Please do better.

And FYI, before someone gets mad and tell me to go stick to Lost Ark, I've literally made a complaint about Lost Ark about something that they should learn from FF14.

Games can and should learn from each other.

The quality of communication sucks over at LA but what doesn't suck is that you actually feel heard as a player and feel that the biggest, most pressing concerns are actually looked at. This whole third party plugin drama would be over by now if we had clear, constant communication with CMs on the forums in the past few days.

Oh I agree, it's nice to see that CMs are at least trying there. Just that it can still be pretty terrible, even with engagement from the actual company.

Some of my experiences with the poor communication with LA has pissed me off more than getting no communication from FF though.
Both have there flaws unfortunately.

Well AGS isn't developing the game ( aren't supposed to at least, I still don't believe that they're not responsible for some of the dumb shit and changes ).
Their team is for the most part focused on maintenance etc.

Their CM's tbh often do more harm than good too.

Edit: Also what this thread is missing is that we get huge live letters where the devs talk to us for hours.
To act like we don't get good communication is just ridiculous even if it's not perfect.
And the CM's for Lost Ark both ignore and even censor feedback they disagree with they're infamous for locking and even outright deleting threads for that.

Pretty much all of the negative feedback on their weird changes to the Demon form for example was deleted.
It'd be like if SE went in and deleted all the threads about the Kaiten removal on SAM.
