I agree up to a point but it must be a bitter pill to swallow if you lost the lottery. Someone gets the house you wanted for free and next round you have to pay for yours if you win.
So I can understand why people are upset.

The solution they've come up with is the least worst option, but it's far from ideal.

What is the general feeling on the Japanese Forum though? Is everyone being philisophical about it or are feelings running high there too?

I think of it the other way. I look at the gil from it as the way of compensation for the issue existing in the first place. Nobody including those that now benefits from it wanted the #O bug. All of them would rather pay the price and get their house right away instead of being forced to wait unknown amount of time unsure if they even got it (because that also wasn't clear unless you were the only bidder).

And ultimately it doesn't matter. Those who lost on the bidding wouldn't get the house anyway? Why does it matter that the other side got it for free or not? Those who didn't win lost nothing.

Regardless of if SE decided to somehow deduct the Gil or not those who didn't win the lottery wouldn't get the house.The only gain those affected by bug have is Gil. Whether it's a substantial gain or not is up to anyone's interpretation

ppl are withdrawing their deposits as far as i'm aware, assuming they will get the house anyway. I just hope they will actually get it instead of some another thing occurs that's gonna make into an another clusterfak of problems.
