I care that I DONT get a house.

I have a simple solution for you. Under the recent Housing Rules, create an alt, grab up to 3 friends to sign your FC Creation Sheet, level it quickly to Level 6 and wait 30 days. You can then roll onto one of the left Houses in one of the FC Areas. Problem solved you have a House now. May it sucks to do it this way? Maybe.

But if you really want an house there is this solution on the silver plate. If you are not going for it well then its laziness or not enough despair to play the rules Square given to us.

I took the money out, but I will pay the amount to the NPC, anything else would be wrong, didn't know better at the point and I should not be rewarded with a house win lottery for free, it would be unacceptable and unfair to these who paid or am going to pay in future lotteries.

And if use the excuse to claim that it is compensation, would be just as far out.

The number of people who win a house and who have withdrawn their gil is going to be very small. In addition some will pay when the time comes. It is a perfect solution no but given the issues of getting an npc ready the alternative would have been to hold up the lottery rounds until 6.2 and that's not going to happen. It's already taken way to long to get this issue resolved hopefully on the 16th.

Lets hope there aren't any additional issues then.

This isn't true, I know a ton of '0' winners who didint refund out of fear, with the news that refunding = a free house, now refunding.

it will be a very large amount in some wards with free houses.

Not that im opposed to this but im being honest here. This update was a big roundabout way of SE saying those effected by the '0' bug will get their house for free, in a very PR flowery way. As much as I see it as the only choice they could make, this will make up a large amount of affected '0' plots.

So you're saying people can still get refunds? I believe that refund period is over and the system is locked down. I can't personally test it given the house I bid on didn't get the zero bug.

Yes you can still get refunds, the refund period is not over nor was it ever frozen, all that was frozen was the next lottery date, Refunds are on a 5 to 6 month timer, multiple people on reddit have confirmed that they have now refunded after this news.

edit- Let me just underline this, right now anyone who hasn't refunded on their '0' plot is in a position of walking away from a free house, that is going to be a very very small minority by the 16th.

I agree up to a point but it must be a bitter pill to swallow if you lost the lottery. Someone gets the house you wanted for free and next round you have to pay for yours if you win.
So I can understand why people are upset.

The solution they've come up with is the least worst option, but it's far from ideal.

What is the general feeling on the Japanese Forum though? Is everyone being philisophical about it or are feelings running high there too?
