Oh so you're saying have to put in work and suffering in order to achieve it, like people have had for weeks with barely any input as to what will happen? You can't complain about this and also complain about the people who got screwed over by SE's messup getting their house for free. When EW got delayed everyone with an active account got free playtime, so by your logic it's ok for those that were waiting for EW before renewing sub to cry that they didn't get free playtime. And as for RNG based, you mean like drops? Which the game has, 'whaaaa they got the shiny mount on first run and I've been trying for hundreds and not got it whaaaaaaaaa'

best way for this round only, would be to remove the payment at the placard
you need to turn in your winning ticket at the NPC and pay the gil for the plot you won

Ultimately whats going to happen is a load of people will now get free houses, we all read the update , whats done is done, refund the gil and get a free house seems to be the message they have sent.

How is it any way fair?

People who won a house, they have a house and 3-50 mil less gil.
People who didn’t win a house have been unable to try again for almost two months and don’t get any compensation for that, and still don’t have a house.
People who won but got bugged have a free house now.

This is unfair to the vast majority, the players with no house. And it’s unfair to those who paid for a house.

Whats your alternative then? Crying because the had choosen the less damaging way for this issue?

a) Get rid of housing altogether?

b) get rid of personal housing because it was intended for FCs from the get go?

c) invest even more dev time to fix and code a "pay again screen" for all who refunded so it could potentially be solved in whatever timeframe they have to deal with. Would be funny to see if they chosen this way and it would take a year or more to solve the spaghetti code from the lottery. Imagine the outcry of the Playerbase to the already happening outcry.

d) reroll everything from anyone in regards of housing to the starting point? Imagine the outcry of people/FCs who could upgrade their small or medium house or got a completely new plot for them or their FC.

e) reroll every bugged house again even if there were legit winners but werent shown because the lottery server didnt update the Housing server?

They had to die on one hill and they cant win not matter which one they chosen. The OF will cry and whine and stomp on the floor anyway.
The only solution is to pressure them for additional wards or instanced personal housing. Everthing else will upset people like you anyway no matter what they are gonna do.

What was square supposed to do? Yes everyone who got a 'O' plot basically can now get a free house, but every other solution would have pissed someone off, this was the only way to make sure valid winners got their houses and so the game could MOVE on from this.

Personally I think wards should be for players and instanced islands for FCs. A place where the FC can have their own space, but wards where players can have neighbours.

Oh lord. Look, if a handful of people get a free house because of SE's screw up, so be it. I paid full price for both the FC's house and my personal house. I am not sitting here kvetching that some people got their plots bugged, had to sit for a month waiting for SE to fix it, and were low key compensated for it by not being made to pay for the house.
