I personally enjoy the collection of parts that goes in to make us how we appear. Because we have resting bunny face when we do show emotion it really stands out. Though I wish some of our emotes were more...emotive. The /joy and /happy leaves a heck of a lot to be desired.

And yes, of course, the lack of hairstyles compared to older races stings as does the lack of headgear we're able to wear. But I enjoy being Viera more than any other in-game race so a Viera I stay.

Thus far, it's also the only race where the men are prettier than the women, in my opinion. Save perhaps Lalafell, though that's less the men are prettier and more that unless they go out of their way to make themselves appear feminine or masculine you can't tell the difference between the two.
