Why is the Duty Recorder so limited?

Duty Recorder, which is an great system that allows you to save and review replays of* previous fights / duties, is completely held back by the (seemingly arbitrary) limitation that it only supports a very small subset of duties that change from patch to patch, and a maximum of 3 recordings (which again, doesn't make much sense since they're saved on the client-side).

Why not unlock this feature to be used for every duty and extend the total amount of recordings? This would provide an incredibly valuable tool (that is already in the game!) for players to understand what happens during high-end content when progressing through the fights, for both PC and console players alike

if you think this replay functionality will be used for harassment, I would suggest re-evaluating the folk* you play with, because I think you're not playing with the right people

No one knows why they chose to limit to basically current 8man raid and extreme. I agree it would be nice if more fights were just added and not removed. Another part is GL getting 7 other people to agree to its use in PF situations though.

You have to agree to being recorded in order for it to get the go ahead. You need a full party similar to the roulette leveling option that only works with a full party so you don't get sastasha for level 70 classes. There is no harassment because if you were worried about this you would not agree to it.

This functionality is suppose to allow for reviewing of footage after a duty, but is limited each time by the latest duties making it a cool idea though ultimately useless for everything it was once useful for.

When I first seen it in the my menu's when reaching shadowbringers I was really excited. I was thinking gosh the game itself will record things and I can view the footage afterwards because my computer is really not that powerful. I was hoping a party member could allow functionality so we could practice anything from shiva extreme to eden. I looked it up on the googles and seen it was only for the most random of duties, and realized this was an every changing limit feature.

I am still hoping one day it will be similar to the explorer mode where they finally included a ton more dungeons so you have access to nice music and a training dummy earlier than shadowbringers, but I have no clue if they mentioned allow this for anything other than the current savage, extreme, unreal, or ultimate. The limited info on this said they were thinking about adding it to other things but that was like 3 years ago or something.
