Can we stop the pointless flashbacks in the MSQ?

I don't need you to remind me something that happened 10 quests ago. Yes I have been paying attention to your story. I do you not need you to remind me I saw Venat on the boat to Sharlyan when I meet her again in Elpis. Yes I remember that this character is the same character as I saw earlier. I watched the cutscene, mr writer. I don't need you to remind me of Akasa when Hermes is explained Dynamis you already made it painfully obvious they were the same thing.

Please stop treating me like I am either extremely stupid, have the memory of a goldfish, or a cutscene skipper. Please allow me to connect the dots myself rather than spell it out to me everytime mr writers. Please stop insulting my intelligence with these pointless, obnoxious flashbacks, please and thank you.

Imagine if, when Gandalf reveals himselfs as Gandalf the White in The Two Towers, you get a flashback of an image of Gandalf the Grey in the Fellowship, then it cuts back to Gandalf the White and you're supposed to be like "OMG, Gandalf the White is Ganalf the Grey???? NO HECKIN WAY, POGGERS!!!!".

They're part of the cutscenes so no.

Thats like 5 or 6 levels worth of quests in between dude. And you're complaining...

Not everyone binges MSQ in two days.

Many people do MSQ in short play sessions and take frequent breaks. I know someone like that and the flashbacks are useful.
You also act like they're 20 min long flashbacks, where at most they last like 10 seconds and they're just a few images in succession.

The game has some things that can be improved on and there's legitimate discussions to be had. This is on the other hand is just petty...

as someone else pointed out, seems to me like these (generally 5-10 second long, inconsequential amount of time wasted for most of us) flashbacks are more designed for players who aren't playing it all in a few sittings, this is doubly useful as a reminder in patch settings where it may be several months between those moments, i don't think they hurt the pacing at all and are basically a non issue, personally.

What I dislike far more and EW is especially guilt of this is the constant exposition/ recap speeches of something that happened during the quest you are currently doing.
You gather information, meet up with your exposition squad and they recap everything you just read. Not even shortened not even with some infinity stone brain conclusions. No, just repeating what you know and maybe with some captain obvious conclusions.
And these recaps are usually pretty long-winded which just makes the interaction with the Scions even more boring.

Come one, I am able to read and remember things for the time it takes to complete one quest. I'll not take a 3 months break during a quest, I promise.

It's often used as a storytelling tool to draw attention not necessarily to the scene itself but to something key that was mentioned or shown that one may have missed and/or to show its importance from the new context that was revealed later. Is it a subtle or refined method perhaps or perhaps not but that depends on the person, kind of a weird thing to get worked up over.
