Why? can we just play final FANTASY game without having to involve with IRL stuff , i think also there are more important things to fix inside the game than "Add pronouns" , I wouldnt mind , i just dont think it has priority.

Seems easy enough to do! SE doesn't even like easy to do things anymore tho!
So I wouldn't hold my breath. For anything :3

I don't think choice of pronoun across the game is feasible with the scale of development. That said, something innocuous like changing the pronoun of titles would be cool! Even as a woman, Hong Mei rather be called a "Gentleman" rather than "Gentlewoman", and such a thing seems easier to change.

Gods no. Please keep this stuff out of the game.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:

And this is why the JP devs don't listen to the west. Personally, I don't blame them, lol.
I'd like my pronouns to be Bunions
Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
I'm going to identify as https://gender.fandom.com/wiki/Explorogender and make my pronouns
I̱͙̼̯̦̭̠̜n͇̖̗̱̯̮̹̙f̼̤̦͎̪̳̦̳i̻̮͕̟̮̦͉̦n̫̝̱̣̫͓̜̞i̜̼̯̟͓̭̩̘t͈̰̰̳̭͕̜̦e̳͎̬̪̥͉̣͎

I don't think it's a bad suggestion. We know there must be a trigger set somewhere for dialogue because it will change based on whether you chose male or female at character select. But as anyone who's worked with databases before will know, it may be easy to change a field manually but harder to implement code that exposes that field to changes by users. So that's one difficulty I could see. Another is that if they added anything more than they have, then you run into possible translation issues.
Someone mentioned being able to set appearance and male/female at character select separately. If they are able to do that without too much difficulty, then that may be a happy medium. Unfortunately, I think this would need to be something they could code fairly easily for the risk versus reward on using development time for it to be worth it.
This has been brought up before the answer is no because its a complete waste of resources/time, plus you're only thinking about it from an english standpoint which I understand since americans do always tend to think that them and their problems are the center of everything. I mean we have how many wars going on right now? but this is the thing we're going to get our feelings hurt about I'm sure so since it's slipped some peoples minds, allow me to once more bring it to the forefront-other languages in fact do not work exactly the same as english does. Some languages have 'gendered' tones behind many more things than just 'pronouns'. For example, Japanese and was it French? It was at least 3-4 other languages this game is translated in that they'd have a tricky time trying to navigate this and to put it bluntly it would not be worth it. At all, whatsoever. The other languages-no. and america will never be important enough to 'just do it for english then' because I know thats where one might go next. No, this is a Japanese game. They're not going to give into your personal flag waving ways. Perhaps post a game here that you know already does that so someone seeking this can go and be validated that way.
This is good bait.
