Shell FC's on EU Worlds Getting First Access to Housing

In my opinion, SE really needs to hold back on opening up FC housing on the four new EU worlds. Currently, because of the 30 day rule and the fact that players had to wait so long before transferring (which was out of their hands because of the Home World Transfer Service being down), it means veteran players that want a chance at a FC and housing on the new worlds won't be in with much of a fair ride.

SE should really consider pushing the release of FC housing back until the end of August, not July, to make it fair for everyone. Most of the houses, as it stands will just be taken by shell FCs. Go ahead and roll the private houses, but at least give transferring players that had to wait a chance at FC ones...

Shell FCs made on day one won't even be 30 days old by the end of the first raffle. Besides, if you were planning to move an actual FC, nothing was stopping you making alts to get the FC started.

I'd like to think I'm not that dense.... it was never about the first raffle, it's about FC's created on those worlds after transferring won't be able to participate in the next one either, however FC's created when the world's were first introduced- will. Meaning those who waited to transfer and not start new characters, are disadvantaged.

Next month they will open new servers on NA... just imagine if they do the same...

They always used to give us 2 to 3 months for new players on new servers to build money in order to compete with transfered players (at least, for the small plots). I really don't get why they are changing the waiting this time...

Maybe, they think the lotery system will keep things longer than before for FC's to get the best plots, but I don't think it's the case... Less true FC to bid and more shells FC to bid for the best ones on the 2 to 3 initial waves doesn't seems to fit their expectations... '-'

The concern people have is that those FCs would be eligible for the second lottery entry period while FCs created by players transferring their characters from other worlds won't be eligible until the third.

I think they're worrying too much about the situation. While there will no doubt be some RMT shells in the mix, I doubt a majority of larges are going to get sold during that second lottery. Not every FC is going to have sufficient gil. Most that do will be purchased by legitimate players who planned ahead by making alts to start their FCs in advance of transferring their main.

Delaying the lottery makes it harder to get players to transfer now to get those world populations and economies moving.

The best solution is to delay opening just the FC wards an additional two weeks, which would make FCs formed thru today eligible for the first FC lottery. Plenty of players have already transferred their characters now that home world transfer has opened from what I'm seeing on Alpha as i type this. If they haven't already transferred and started their FCs, then it's their loss for waiting.

Yes, I feel this would be an excellent compromise.

Everyone would be able to access personal housing sooner and those who were waiting to transfer but got blocked due to the delay would also have a fair shot at the FC plots as well.

Why should players have to create an alt character just because SE messed up the timings? Whereas it's true they won't be able to roll on the FC houses on the first wave, they can happily roll on the next wave - which transferred players can't do, they wont be able to participate in that lottery for FCs either. Why should veteran players have to create an alt character to have a fair chance against shells? Especially since it wasn't their fault they couldn't transfer to begin with?

I'm not even transferring, but know people that had hoped to - simply so they could establish their main FCs again for housing. Its just completely bonkers them opening it so soon.
