I've only ever dabbled here and there with raiding but it doesn't particularly suit my tastes. (Too many toxic and/or tryhard people. Made the whole experience completely unfun.) Of course, I'm fully against adding parsers into the game because it'll only encourage toxicity. I get that people will continue to use them anyway, but SE taking a firm stance against their usage is enough for me. Perhaps someday I'll get into raiding again (Hopefully with some irl friends) but for now, I think I'm good. :P
Why is the stance SE takes on toxicity and harassment in general not enough though? I mean, when you think about it lets talk about what Yoshi-P said about in game harassment and stalking, being unable to remove yourself from someone else's friends list so they can see where you are, being unable to prevent some people from entering your house. He said he doesnt want to add such features because it might "hurt someone'es feelings." That is more important than someone being harassed and stalked in the game? This is just an example of where the devs AND YoshiP are just wrong. Think about how problematic that is compared to the supposed "toxicity" from players who use parsers (which I never see because apparently its ok to harass and stalk people but not ok to tell someone they are doing something wrong.)
