Console Players don't need Addons

I'm a PC player and I don't use addons, this game does not need them. I had to use addons in ESO where they are allowed and I hated them because they were a nightmare to manage (they broke after every patch, got discontinued, etc). Sadly, ESO is unplayable without them (I can't even get a mini map without addons). The difference is that FFXIV is perfectly playable without addons and that's one of the reasons why I love this game.

I never used addons in ESO. If you think they are mandatory then that's on you.

This really is just some next level cope in the end, isn't it? You know you're not on the same skill level as raiders, but you want to pretend you're better than them because you don't parse.

I mean...I wouldn't say they're on the money with everyone but I'd be willing to be there are some out there that use them due to a lack of skill.

Also being "scared" of high end content has nothing to do with skill. You could be skilled enough for it yet scared to do it. If you're gonna take shots make sure they fully make sense

They are commenting on the person who has, in the past, commented about how they don't use Meikyo Shisui or Hakagure because they don't make sense and are unneeded. I think lack of skill is right on the bullseye here.

So then it has nothing at all to do with being scared. Just a lack of knowledge. Last I checked you don't have to be skilled in something to comment and make valid points on it. I'm speaking in general here btw

However, as I have been informed ACT doesn't simply display your DPS. Apparently it has that functionality that calls out/resolves mechanics so the player doesn't have to think and/or tracks/compiles information (such as CDs for buffs and whatnot) that the player is supposed to track themselves through their own skill and not automated software.

It *can* do those things. It doesn't unless you install additional plugins to it. Base ACT is just vanilla DPS tracking.

only one thing i want as a console player is mods XD and looking better in gpose . besides that ... it can be difficult but everything is possible . parses or something different .. like im not sure what people using as addons .. since i cant use them i need to learn live without them . many people here talking about how this game is easy .. well xD time to say goodbye to addons then i guess

Edit: Apparently having an addon that tells you, if you already claimed a Triple triad card / Orchestrion roll is also toxic, because apparently it's not fair that i'm able to know on what I have/not and while the others do not. (This is before they implemented these changes into the game.)

I'm with the "this is cheating" crowd on this one. Or at least, it's the video game equivilent of using training wheels.

I mean, it definitely improves consistently and reduces the learning curve. Just because it only makes it somewhat easier doesn't mean it still isn't cheating.

Guides help similarly for the learning curve, because it shows you an idea what will happen in it.

People can and have stretched this to have been "cheating" but not caring because the clear's meant to be a personal achievement. People tend to hone in on this part a lot even if they've not bothered with "hard" content at all as everyone forgets the do not talk/show about as either a non-streamer/streamer. Just that the "show" part has been up to the vague discretion of SE.

This thing is something that anyone who's simply clearing content without being in a race of such as DSR, do not need to care about. Even though DSR is a strange anomaly that got attention as a community event.
An example, if the RDM didn't upload their pov, and it was the MNK who did, would we have this mess?
