(1 of 4) A big, jumbled mess of feedback mostly about the UI, in no particular order.

Improve the contrast between the color of text and the background for HUD elements, nameplates, and the gamepad main menu. Too often there is light text on a light background, and I can't read it until I rotate the camera. Also, the text on every map in the game is borderline unreadable because it's white text on a light tan background.

Bgm mute keybind (current workaround found: make a macro with “/bgm”, bind it to hotbar that has a keybind to it. But a new user should not have to jump through these hoops.)

Gamepad panning (with right thumbstick) on examine window is backwards. Please allow option to reverse it.

Double click to select a whole word in macro editor.

Tutorial text is still blurry on scaled up UI even with the high resolution UI 4K option.

Mouse pointer is still on screen after mouse mode is disabled while using gamepad.

Rename lift elevator options in the starting cities from things like "Drowning Wench" to "Upper Decks". A new player is not going to know nor care that the "Drowning Wench" is on the "Upper Decks" and it further unnecessarily adds to the new player confusion. This was a contributing reason why I quit the game in the first 15 minutes several years ago.

Add a try on option to preview other non-wearable equipment items.

Option to “view search info” to see a player character’s job levels from their name in the chatbox.

Sort list of FC members by clicking on column headers.

Focus using gamepad option for hot bars just like is possible for the status bars with settings within the HUD layout menu.

When casting glamour, show how many glamour prisms I have in my inventory.

The 3 letter acronyms for the jobs is unintuitive. Either spell it out normally (my preference) or put the 3 letters next to where it actually is spelled out entirely in game so that players can reference it in-game when they need to translate this arbitrary 3 letter acronym language.

When in “Add to hotbar” mode with a gamepad and crossbar, please allow us to use “Expanded Hold Controls” and “WXHB”. I don’t tend to remember which crossbar number I set those to, so it’s an inconvenience having to figure that out anytime I try to add something to a crossbar that isn’t always visible.

I wish that there was a way to automatically go to the idle camera when AFK for a specified amount of time.

Make it so that, on a controller, while in the armory chest window, the d-pad left and right wraps the page to the next or previous lines like it does in the inventory window.

In the Gold Saucer, rename Aetheryte shard “Wonder Square East” to “Mahjong Square”

For mender NPCs, have a repair all for all storage places at once.

(2 of 4) A big, jumbled mess of feedback mostly about the UI, in no particular order.

While using gamepad in the equipment selection side-window of the Glamour Dresser, provide an easy way to switch storage locations when your cursor is way down the list such as pressing left on the d-pad to go to the top and right to go to the bottom. This is what also what I’ve noticed is done on FF7 Remake.

Add hairstyles to glamour plates so that each plate can have its own hairstyle.

When dyeing items using a gamepad and have “Toggle character display mode” on, you cannot change color tabs because the bumper triggers on the controller are reserved for zooming in or out in the preview pane with LB/L1 + right thumb stick.

In the inventory, sort should be a button around the chrome of the inventory window, not within the context menu of one particular item.

Have separate character configuration settings presets for each job or at least first each role (tank, healer, or DPS)

Which using a gamepad and in “Edit Hotbar” mode, I should be able to edit crossbars that I can access from expanded hold controls and simultaneous trigger double taps, but it can’t.

Allow us to setup WXHB (gamepad), while always visible, when using “expanded controls” such as LT -> RT or RT -> LT because those controls feel better to me than double tapping triggers. I prefer double tapping triggers for accessing menu shortcuts on a crossbar because the inherent delay involved in double tapping, is uncomfortable while in combat.

Enable mouse drag and drop on WXHB crossbar items. As it is now, I need to switch hotbars on the controller, drag and drop an ability to a spare hotbar I leave empty just for moving abilities to different hotbars within the crossbar system.

When using a gamepad, in the Teleport window, the names of the tabs are never displayed, only the icons. There should be a way to show the tab names without going into mouse mode.

Allow us to customize which crossbar number WXHB uses depending on which crossbar is currently active. This would be useful for when you have the crossbar change depending on whether you have your weapon sheathed or unsheathed. Sheathed, you would have double the crossbar space than before.

Allow us to drag and drop macros in the “User Macros” window to reorder them without requiring us to cut and paste.
Have a master searchable icon list for macro icons full of every single icon in the game.

Have a less aggressive stance for gathering and crafting jobs when “unsheathed” because that isn't a weapon in your hands.

When using gamepad (or keyboard only), give us the option to remember the cursor position in the “User Macros” window just like it already does in the inventory window. I want to be able to use the user macros window as a d-pad navigable hotbar since that is otherwise not a feature in this game.

(3 of 4) A big, jumbled mess of feedback mostly about the UI, in no particular order.

While in the glamour dresser interface, allow us the options in the subcommands for items in our inventory to send to armory chest or equip. Sometimes, I’ll be browsing there and want to do one of those things but can’t unless I back out of the whole glamour dresser and lose my place of where I was at in the inventory.

Could we get an option for a grid based inventory do the “Glamour Creation” window of the glamour dresser UI? It takes a long time to go back to the top once I’ve gone all the way to the bottom using a controller.

Could you make it so that the glamour dresser grid inventory wraps when I use the controller d-pad to navigate, similar to how the regular inventory works outside of the glamour dresser?

When in dialogue with NPCs with auto-advance enabled, make it so that there is a short buffer after auto advancing before manually advancing as any effect. Too many times, I’ve manually advanced too late and ended up skipping over dialogue because I double advanced dialogue.

In the teleport menu, add an option to subcommands menu to open map of location.

The item subcommands menu for the “Glamour Creation” window for the glamour dresser does not respect the order of what the user set in the Character Configuration-> Item settings -> Subcommands Customization.

Give us a map panning speed slider for gamepad because what’s just right for camera turning speed on the right thumb stick doesn’t seem to be comfortable for map panning speed on the right thumb stick.

When in the glamour dresser using gamepad, and when the user presses Y/triangle to switch to the Glamour Creation window, pressing B/circle should bring the focus back to the glamour dresser window instead of closing everything. In all other UI windows, it seems that the expected behavior is that, when you access your inventory from another interface (such as the glamour plates window, which is accessible from the glamour dresser), you travel deeper into the UI so when you back out, you bring the focus back to the previous window. This is not the case with the Glamour Dresser UI, but it should.

Add an option for a tooltip delay for mouse hovering over items and actions.

Have an option to automatically draw weapon again after an object interaction if your weapon was already drawn before that interaction. I have been thrown off so many times because I have a different cross hotbar set up whether my weapon is drawn or sheathed. So, it sometimes causes me to miss one or two key GCDs in the confusion.

Get rid of all of the skeuomorphic UI design, especially the domed, glossy buttons and icons with rounded corners. It’s outdated and ugly. Apple, Microsoft, and Google stopped doing that almost a decade ago. It also doesn't scale well for UI upscaling. If you make the UI too small, it scales up to be blurry, and rounded corners end up being pixelated.

UX improvement for less clicks required in configuration windows. Say you change something in the System Configuration or Character Configuration windows, and you forget to click "Apply" before closing the window. At this point, a dialog box pops up asking if you want to close the window and discard all changes, or do nothing. But you obviously want to close the window, otherwise you wouldn't have clicked the X button. So, if you then want to save the changes, you have 3 more clicks to do so: click no, click apply, then click X. Why not have the two choices be to close the window and save the changes or close the window and not save the changes? Then, if you want to save the changes and forgot to click apply before clicking X, you're now only 1 click away from doing what you want to do instead of 3.

There's another great example of how keyboard and mouse users get the second-class experience compared to controller players. With an Xbox controller on PC, selling multiple items to venders is as simple as moving to the end and pressing A, left, A, left, A, left, and so on until you sell all the items. It's a single button press. For keyboard and mouse users, you either have to right-click twice fast (assuming that the "Sell" option is at the top of the context menu) or left click and drag it to the vendor window for each one. There should be a Shift-click or shift-right-click option to instant sell just like controller players have.

I just thought of a new one.

When mousing over hotbar actions and you have the Actions & Traits window open, it should be convenient to highlight the action in that window to draw attention to it.

Conversely, when mousing over actions in the Actions & Traits window, I would like those actions on my hotbar or cross-hotbar to highlight as well.

It just makes setting up a new alt job for the first time less of a mini-game of Where's Waldo for making sure I haven't missed adding any actions to my hotbars.

Oh also, it would be nice to be able to open the map to the region that a friend is currently located so that you can teleport to the nearest Aetheryte crystal.

As it is now, you have to go look at the location, then open up your teleport menu, then scan the list with your eyes, and manually pick the appropriate Aetheryte through sheer memory of which Aetheryte is closer to them if there are more than one in that location.
